BEWARE OF THE RANMA 1/2 ANIME!

THIS IS AN ALERT! There is an anime out there that looks very inviting, but once you enter the horror, you can never come out alive...

Yes, be warned, the anime of Ranma 1/2 is a truly hideous thing. If you are an anime fan and are considering getting into Ranma, ONLY read the manga! The anime slowly decends into the kind of hellish spectacle that makes you feel sick to think that it was based on something so great. It is the 'Batman and Robin' of anime adaptations. If you don't believe me, I can offer proof.

The anime starts off almost just like the manga, in fact, the first entire season is wonderful, minus the fact that some stories were switched as far as the order goes. The second season is also very well done, a few filler episodes, but that's okay, they're kinda' funny. But wait, as soon as you come to the third season you are assaulted, over fifty percent of it is filler, and not good filler either! As a matter of fact, it's down right unpleasant. Even the stories that are from the manga are nearly ruined do to stalling and bad comic timing.

Episodes 19 and 20 of the 'Hard Battle' season are perfect examples of filth. Episode 20 features not only a plot that is too absurd even for Ranma, but features an ending more unbelievable than the one in that god-awful movie 'The Chase'. Here Ranma faces a person named Copycat Ken, who (get this) can steal a person's power and abilities simply by taking their picture! Now, Ranma has alot of silly stuff, (It is a Takahashi story) but this is absurd. Are we to believe that simply by changing his appearance underneath a cloth that he can not only take their abilities, but their POWER as well? On top of that, the ending ISN'T AN ENDING, the screen just fades black as Ken, in an incredibly pathetic attempt at slapstick by way of the writers, can't stop jumping under the cloth and he gets his copycat costumes mixed up. I suppose they were going for a kind of Warner Bros. ending, but they failed miserably.

Then there's episode 19, a true waste of time and life. Ranma's female side seperates from his male side and starts seducing and absorbing male Ranma's life force...right...This is an incredibly stupid plot that goes nowhere, wastes the viewer's time and money, and is a shining example of what the remainder of the series is-NOTHING BUT PATHETIC FILLER. I MEAN ENTIRE EPISODES OF POORLY WRITTEN FILLER!

I bet that about now alot of Ranma anime fans are made at me, too bad. I do not hate Ranma, I LOVE the manga, and the OAVs and films, but the anime...no,no,no. The anime of Ranma is nothing more than an attempt at milking a cash cow, stretching it as far as they can.(Hey, that sounds like GT too!) I warn anyone who hasn't seen it not to, read the manga. People need to read more nowadays anyway. Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong...(I expect Miller's lawyers to attack me in 1,2,3,...)

If You MUST see the anime, for the good of your sanity, only watch-
