In The Works, Winter 2015

Hello, hello!

It feels like it has been so long! Work, life, and another big move across the country have left me with little time for art.... but I am hoping that is going to change! It is nice to come back and see all the lovely new works that have been released the last few years. I was spurred on a bit by having to help my parents downsize, which means that I had to finally pack up all the model horses and resins I have been storing with them for years - it was a walk down memory lane looking at all those pieces again. And, I have too many - if you have been on the MH$P you will notice that I have listed a few unpainted resins from my past editions up for sale (Virtual Reality, Finesse, Vizcaya). Please let me know if you are interested in these.

I have been dabbling on a few new pieces here and there. I was hoping to share with you a delightful little Icelandic stallion, but he did not fare so well in the move. Instead, I have not one, but perhaps 2 new pieces to share with you all!

The first is a traditional scale cantering warmblood gelding. I just sent him off to be cast in resin and am currently accepting deposits for unpainted resins!

The second is a mustang stallion that I am aiming towards the bronze market. I may also release a limited edition resin as well, perhaps a mix of unpainted and cold cast bronze. He is a lot of fun! I hope you enjoy!

Resins for Sale!
Hello, hello! I am also parting with a few of the unpainted Artist Proofs I kept from prior editions:

Vizcaya: $175 postage paid

Virtual Reality: $200 postage paid

Finesse (trotting hunter): $195 postage paid

These editions have been sold out for a number of years, so this is a unique opportunity to obtain an unpainted resin sculpture! Please e-mail if interested.

In The Works
The summer of 2008 has arrived, and I need to get back in the studio! I have been consumed with work and my research interests, so unfortunately my free time to devote to art has been pretty nill. My most recent sculpture is of an Icelandic stallion in 1/8th scale, going full out in tolt (the characteristic gait of this breed). I am not sure if/when he will be cast, but I will be posting pictures soon!

New Release for 2006 in Bronze and Resin

My newest sculpture depicts a Standardbred pacer in 1:9 scale. The Standardbred is not a breed often depicted in art, since historically they aren't the most conformationally appealing critters (in fact, the breed name is so named because historically any horse who could trot the "standard" of one mile in 2:00 minutes could be registered as a Standardbred). I was inspired to try my hand at sculpting one after spending many an evening watching the pacers in action at Red Mile in KY. He will be released in both bronze and resin, and casting has begun. Click on his photo for more images. As always, comments and opinions are welcome!

Upcoming Events & Exhibitions

New Release for 2004

My next limited edition sculpture is "Dante," a Cleveland Bay stallion. He is currently available in resin, and will eventually be released in china as well. Click on his image for more info.

Snow Sculpture

At over 6' tall, "Sultan of the Snowy Range" casts an imposing image of power...and powder! Okay, okay...so this snow sculpture isn't "new," but until his 15 minutes of cyberspace fame is taken away, page, you can view images of "Sultan" by clicking on his image below.
