Bedroom Inventorium
As far as I know, the word inventorium is not in any published dictionary so I consider it just another of the bizarre nonce words that I use. But that's what this section of Et cetera is devoted to: an inventorium. by my definiton, an inventorium is the past tense results of having taken inventory of something. You'll note that this section is called Bedroom Inventorium, meaning that an inventory of my bedroom has to be taken to determine the content of the page. I've chosen this room because this is basically the only territory that I feel I own. I don't necessarily own everything within the walls of my bedroom, but it is my territory and the place where I feel the most comfortable under most any circumstances.
Oh, but what is this page, you might ask. You opened it up and saw nothing but this huge list of seemingly random materials. And you think to yourself, "What is it?" Well, this page consists of a list of what is in my room. EVERYTHING that is in my room. At this point you'll be thinking "Ha! Liar! You couldn't have gotten everything." But no, I've got it all covered. Well, okay not EVERYTHING. I've left out anything microscopic as well as the components that make up larger products such as disk drive to computer, green power button on computer and small screw in back of computer. The only time I include things like screws or wooden planks or staples, is if they are not included as a part of an item that is already listed. I have also decided not to include every single item of clothing I have. Not out of laziness, but because it would be even more boring than the premise behind this list. I mean, could you imagine how many times you would have to read the word "shirt." Also, my walk-in closet contains many, many items, but it is not technically a part of my bedroom, just a suburb, and therefore, the contents of the closet are not listed here either. But other than that, I've got it all covered.
This list is broken into categories for some items such as CD's and books and anything else that I have a fairly substantial amount of. This list is also not organized very well because it was put together almost randomly. It is in no particular order and some of the list items are more specific than others. The complete list of items is the inventorium of material wealth accumulated in my bedroom as of January 1st, 2001. Included at the bottom of the page will be infrequent updates regarding the inventorium of my room. Each update will be dated accordingly. Rarely will I mention subtractions from the inventorium because things go in and out of the room far too often for that.
