"Mirthi! You know better then that! Come here!" To your amazement the creature settles on the girl's arm, which you can see is heavily padded. Turning to you the girl apologizes profusely. "I'm so, so sorry...I thought he knew better then that. By the way, I'm Vivacia, and this is Mirthi, my blue fire-lizard. I impressed him at Vitora Beach." Now that you can see your hostess more clearly, you see that she is of medium height and appears to be about 15 turns old. Her dark hair is ruffled from wind and falling into her sparkling green eyes, and her skin is red from the sun. The little critter on her arm looks remarkably like a very tiny dragon, with it's wedge shaped head and scales-not to mention the wings!
Realizing you were staring, you glance down as Vivacia grins. "Were you going anywhere particular? No? Oh, please join me for lunch! I love socializing, but I don't know many people here so I'm a bit lonely. Mirthi is some company, of course, but he can't talk! Do say yes!" Since your stomach was rumbling anyway, you decide to take the friendly girl up on her offer. Besides, you're curious about her- how did she come to be here, anyway? You follow Vivacia inside, blinking from the contrast between bright sun and dark cave. In a few seconds she's lit some glows, and you can see again. Motioning for you to take a seat on the hide-covered stone couch, Vivacia begins bustling around her kitchen, talking continually. "I came here a few weeks ago from the weaver hall, where my parents work. A dragon rider came on Search from Jerdan Weyr! My father was thrilled, my mother less so. She thought I had the makings of a good weaver, and I do enjoy it, but can you imagine impressing a dragon?!" The girl hugs herself in excitement as she sets a platter of meatrolls and a pitcher of klah on the table. "So the dragon rider dropped me off here and I'm just waiting for the eggs to hatch. I so want to impress! Do you think I have a chance?" Vivacia looks at you with a pleading look in her eyes and you reassure her that she has as much of a chance as anyone- after all, the dragons are the ones that choose. "Thanks, I needed that. Maybe you'll come and see the hatching? Remember, it's at Jerdan Weyr. I hope you can come, it would be nice to have someone in the stands watching. I don't expect my parents to be there, but that's life I guess. I do wish they were a little happier about it." Vivacia frowns for a second before returning to her previous sunny smile. Noticing you have finished she jumps up and escorts you to the cave entrance. "Good luck in your journey!" she calls, waving. Waving back, you continue on the your next adventure.
