A question I often got from GX-700 users is about System updates.

The System version of the GX-700 has been replaced a few times by Roland/Boss corp. due to some bugs.

The current version is 1.09 and contains no (or at least few) bugs. The System version is hardware and cannot be

"dumped" to the GX-700.

Roland Corp. do update your GX-700 for free if you still have warranty on your machine.

They change your Eprom for a new one with the latest System Version. The only problem is that you gotta replace it yourself so I recommend that you let your local Roland/Boss dealer do it.
