Quest Six- by Padraig
A rat was invited into the castle two days ago because of a paw wound. Now he is creeping around the story-telling room, inflicting wounds on the young ones. Lately, he has killed a young woodchuck, he must be killed!

Padraig stepped into Queen Streakfur's throne room.
"Padraig, I must talk to you." she said.
"Yes, Streak? What seems to be the problem?" Padraig asked.
"Padraig… you remember that rat which was let into our castle due to a wound in the paw?" Streak inquired.
"Why, yes, is he still here?"
"Well, as a matter of fact, yes. It has come to our attention that he has been responsible for the infliction of wounds on several young ones, after he betrayed himself by killing a young woodchuck yesterday."
Queen Streakfur, carefully containing her anger, leaned closer to Padraig, who was standing in front of her throne, "I don't care how you do it but he must be stopped!" she whispered exasperately.
"But he can't be killed immediately," Padraig said in a matching tone. Streak resumed her regular voice, sounding very urgent,
"Then as soon as possible."
"It shall be done!" said Padraig, his cape swirling about him as he swiftly turned around.
"I'm depending on you, Padraig!" Streakfur called after him.
Padraig sat up all night trying to think of a plan. Finally, it came to him. Simple, yet it would do the job just right. Then, sleep fell upon him, and he fell into deep slumber until dawn. Now Padraig knew that the rat had attempted to make friends with little ones before wounding them. So, he conversed with a guest who was staying at the castle, by the name of Rouri. They conversed in hushed tones, until Rouri nodded discretely, and they parted.
Padraig waited at the parade ground.
Back in the castle, Rouri searched desperately for the rat. He found him in the story-telling room.
"'Ey, rat!" He said, just above a whisper, for someone was telling stories to the little ones. The rat turned around. Rouri beckoned to him.
"There's a little hedgehog in there," Rouri pointed to the door that actually led to the parade ground.
"Says he's your friend."
"And where did you say this little friend of mine could be found?" asked the rat. Rouri pointed to the door.
"Right through there."
As the rat turned towards the door, he let an evil look descend upon his face. After he had gone through the door, Rouri slammed it behind him and locked it. The rat turned around to see what the noise was. He saw the door was closed.
"So, want to play with your 'little friend'?" said a voice. The rat turned, slowly. "I know what you've been doing," said the voice, but now the rat could see that it was a mouse, dressed for a duel. A magnificent tunic, decorated with many medals and pins for merit, excellence, and good will, from all of his travels. A cape was draped around his back.
"What are you talking about?" asked the rat.
"You know very well what I'm talking about," said Padraig, "Harming your little friends? Is this commonly practiced where you come from?"
The rat ran at him, biting Padraig as soon as he was close enough. Padraig shouted in pain. The rat grabbed the sword. Padraig was upon him. They wrestled and fought, rolling all over the ground. Padraig managed to kick the rat in the jaw, and the sword fell to the ground. Padraig struggled to get the rat away from the sword, while the rat struggled to get towards the sword. The rat got closer and closer, until Padraig jumped off of him. The rat reached for the sword, when at that very moment, Padraig grabbed his tail, stretched it upwards, and tied it around his neck. The rat was in extreme pain. His tail had never been stretched that much. And, he was choking. His hands reached for his neck. Padraig's hands reached for the sword. The rat almost got his tail off, when Padraig picked up the sword, and slew him in that moment by sticking it through his chest. The rat's face was the very picture of surprise. He died in that moment, as the sword pierced his heart. Padraig took the sword out of the rat's chest, and shouted,
"Rouri, get someone to take this rotten ugly rat's carcass off of our parade ground!" Rouri opened the door.
I am sure all will agree that this was quite an adventure. Rouri got a couple mice from the infirmary to carry the rat's body off of the parade ground. The rat's body was dumped into a pit where snakes are fabled to live. His remains were gone in a couple of days, so the rumors about that pit must have been true. Padraig, for loyalty and excellence, was decorated by the Queen.

Quest Nine- by Lutra
A searat ship recently sailed inland. Now the younger beasts were out to play and one of the searats, a quick bright young lad, captured an otterbabe named Furkin. Get him back, and slay the rat!

I looked around, looking for any clues in which way the thief could have gone. Appertly, the rat was smart (unfortunley) and left no clues behind. I flung my dagger on stone, and spun it. It headed forward. I walked forward. Shoopppp! Sluccckkkk! I fell into some quicksand.. Well, it could have been mud, because I jumped outta there. It must have been my panic that let me out of there.
"Hmm.. He wouldn't go that way.." I said to nobody.
The next way I checked was left, and after hours and hours of traveling, he did not go that way. He must have gone right. Because if he went back, he would end up at Zoren. Then I wouldn't condiser him smart.
An hour of traveling, and I found the rat. He was accedentily poking himself with thorns. Furkin, the otterbabe, was cozily snuggled in a back of a haverstack, which the rat carried in his hand. Furkin giggled softly as the rat stumbled on a log. "
Hehehehe! Didda mista 'ootoaw falla down?"
The rat growled. "Oh, shuttup you mangy ditchdummy!"
I jumped on the rat who dropped Furkin and bumped his head on a tree and knocked himself out. I slayed him with a spear, and chased after Furkin.
"You be a badda beast! You 'layed mista 'ootpaw!" Sqeaked Furkin.
"Furkin! I had to kill him because he was bad!" I screamed. "Nooooooo!"
Furkin slipped on his haverstack, and landed flat on a big adder.
"'Elp, 'elp, elp! Mista 'Utra, a bigga adder got me!"
I jumped on the adders head. Stabbing the snake's massive head with my spear. It toppled dead. Furkin decided I was good anyway, and I brought him back to Castle Zoren.

Quest Ten- by Xavier
Two ferrets have been sighted talking to a tiger, now this tiger was always the bad one, sneaking around, stealing. Find out what's going on and stop it!

Xavier walked outwardly to where the ferrets had been talking to the tiger. Xavier, who was armed with a large axe, was difently no match for the big tiger. Then he sighted the two ferrets up ahead. He grabbed them by neck and said; "What's going on over here?"
"Nothin'!" Screamed one the ferrets.
"Where is the tiger?"
"What tiger?" Said the other ferret. Xavier was begining to choke both ferrets. Finnaly, one of the ferrets surrendered to Xavier and told what happened.
"Gaskal, the big tiger, told us to kill queen Streak because he's never let in Zoren Castle!"
"Would have you killed her if I hadn't came along?"
"Yes, sir, Me an' Kaiple here would because the tiger promised to slay us if we didn't do the job correctly!"
"So where is the tiger now?" Both shrugged stupidly. But, hiding in the bushes was Gaskal, listening to the conversation! Gaskal, without warning, pounced on the two ferrets, called Diggaw and Kaiple, and quickly the ferrets were mortally wounded. Luckily for Diggaw and Kaiple, they had they're swords.
They hacked away at the big tiger, knowing that if they ran away, they would die anyway. Then the lighting struck. Diggaw was dead, but had caused much injury to Gaskal. Kaiple, being a coward, ran into the stream that was nearby. Kaiple died in the rapids. Xavier was clinging to Gaskal's furry back, and chopping away at Gaskal with his axe. This caused great pain in Gaskal, but that would just make him angry. Xavier knew he needed help from Zoren Castle. Screaming in a large battlecry, he screamed;
"Zoorrreennnn!" The lookout on duty heard the cry and gathered a quickly bunch of archers. They wandered up to where the cry had came from and saw Xavier, chopping away on Gaskal's back. Then the lookout screamed; "Fire!" A volley of arrows and slingstones hit the tiger's left side. More volleys of arrows struck the big cat, and soon he was down on all fours. Then he was dead.
