"Hey Meghan. Nothing's up with me,"Katie said, making a funny face.
"Okay. You are weird,"I said, laughing at the face she made.
"Hey Meghan,"Megan said and signed.
"Hi Megan,"I said and signed to her. We were both deaf. I'm 13 and in 7th grade. Megan is 14, and in 7th grade. Megan's twin sister is in 8th, and goes to a different junior high. Megan had to go to first grade again so that is why her sister is in a different grade.
"My mom told me I can't wear glasses or contacts at school. I can only wear them at home. And my grandma told me she bought 8 new computers too,"Megan said and signed.
I rolled my eyes. 'Yeah right,'I thought. Megan likes to make up all kinds of stories. I remember we were in 4th grade, and she told me that her brother was pregnant. I didn't believe her since I knew boys don't have babies. She also said in fifth grade at recess that she was pregnant herself.(***That is true. She did say her brother and herself was pregnant. Dumb huh!***) Now here we go with Megan's grandma buying 8 computers. I know that is not true. Megan left to talk to some of the other girls in the class.
Fifteen minutes later, Mrs Grooms flicked the lights. Everybody went to their desks while Megan and I got up to get our FM systems. FM systems is what help us hear better in class, and it blocks out most of the background noises.(***That's what Megan and I wear in our class. I have been wearing one since preschool in South Dakota.***)
"Alright everybody. Take your seats. We're not going to do thinking log today. We're going to discuss the Valentine Bingo. We need at least 2 people to bring in crock pots. We need to call a few more places, and pick up som stuff after school tonight. Tomorrow is the night. Who can bring in their crock pots,"Mrs Grooms. said. Five kids raised thier hands. I knew I couldn't bring one since my dad used it last night for our dinner. But that's okay because I don't want to carry it to school.
