Chapter 15: Last day of School
All of us 7th graders finished that pre-algerbra math book, and we were done with math. Everybody were done with math. The conferences were over, and it was almost time for school to be out! It was only the 8th of June, and it was almost time to go home. Megan was standing in front of 1 of the opened lockers, and Clif, Nick, and Dan shoved her into the locker. Zac, Jen, Liz, Nate, John, Tim, Bill, Aaron, Amanda, and I all laughed our heads off. Soon we got back to our cleaning. We were still cleaning out our desks and lockers. I was basically done with my cleaning, and Zac wasn't. His desk and locker was a total mess! Oh well. Zac is kind of the messy guy. The class was starting to look a bit messy because everybody were dropping papers all over the place. Mrs Grooms and Mr Gaither made us clean up the classroom before we could go home.
We all decided to go over to Zac's house. I ran into Lucy and she told me something I definately wasn't expecting!
"Meghan. I have some bad news for you,"Lucy said.
"What is it?"
"I'm moving in July. To Michigan,"Lucy said.
"You're moving!?! All the way to Michigan! That is way far!"I said surprised!
"Yeah. My dad is moving this month. I'm moving next month, and the rest of my family is moving in August."
"Well, we should do something together before you have to leave,"I said.
"Yeah. I just came over here to tell you that. I gotta get back home and help my dad pack. Bye,"Lucy said and ran home.
I went over to the Hanson house feeling bummed out. Zac noticed that.
"Meghan, what's wrong?"Zac asked me.
"My friend Lucy is moving to Michigan next month,"I answered quietly.
"Oh. And now you're bummed out about it?"he said.
"Yeah. I am. My bestest friend since 2nd grade is moving,"I said.
