"Good morning everybody. Welcome back to school!"Mr Gaither welcomed everybody.
"Yes. Welcome back. It looks like we're going to have a lot of students with same names here this year. We have 2 Megans, 2 Nicks, 2 Stevens, 2 Graces, and 4 Jens or Jennifers. But I'm sure we can handle it though,"Mrs Grooms said.
"This morning, we would like to talk about our summer. You guys can tell us about your summer, and we'll tell you about our summers,"Mr Gaither said.
"But you don't have to if you don't want. But we're interested in knowing what you guys did,"Mrs Grooms said. Crazy 8, Zac, me, and some of the others raised their hands. Mrs Grooms called on Zac first.
"What did you do Zac?"Mrs Grooms asked.
"Well, me and my brothers Taylor and Ike, and I were mostly in Los Angeles working on our next album. So far we have gotten 6 songs recorded, and we're going to finish the rest of the album here in town,"Zac said.
"Sounds like fun. So you spent most of your summer in studios working on your next album,"Mrs Grooms said.
"Yeah. but we did have a few breaks. We did learn how to surf during some of our breaks, and once in July we got to come home for a week. We helped Crazy 8 with their songs at that time. It was a lot of fun, and a lot of hard work,"Zac said.
"Did you have fun surfing?"Mr Gaither asked him.
"Oh yeah! At first, Ike was convincing all of us to go, and I was like 'You couldn't drag me out of bed to go surfing if you tried' and he soon was starting to regret his idea after he had to get up early 1 day though, but we had loads of fun,"Zac said.
Then Mrs Grooms Called on us.
"Most of the summer I was with John, Bill, Tim, Nathan, Amanda, Jen, and Liz in our garage. We were working on our songs while Hanson was in LA. We now have 17 songs completed, and we're still writing even more songs. In July, I did spend a week at my grandparents' house with my cousins. We went to Denver, and stayed there for a night. We visited the aquarium when we arrived, and went to Water World before we left. My favorite part of that trip was going to Water World. That was way fun!"I said.
"Maybe we can go to Water World during our spring trip next year, but it depends on how much money we make,"Mrs Grooms said.
"What was your favorite part of Water World?"Mr Gaither asked me.
"The Journey to the Center of the Earth! That was pretty cool. We were in these rafts, and the whole way down it's pretty dark. but there are dimmed lights, and mechanical dinosaurs in there. My 2 young cousins Katie and Sara screamed a lot, but they loved it too,"I answered.
"That must have been fun!"Mrs Grooms said.
The others who had their hands up also got to tell us about their summer, including the rest of Crazy 8. The day went by pretty quickly.
