After english/french, we were back in our seats. We were about to do the Bill of Rights when Mrs Crabb, the secretary, came in with a guy. He had long blond hair down to his shoulders, and he had brown eyes. I suddenly reconized the guy. He was Zac Hanson. But what was he doing here? I thought he lived in Tulsa, OK. Maybe he had to move or something.
"Oh. I forgot to tell you guys. We have a new student. I'm sure some of you know him. This is Zac Hanson. He just moved here on Monday,"Mrs Grooms said to the class. Then she turned to him. "You may sit at the empty desk in the back row,"I heard her say to Zac, pointing to the desk in the back row.
Zac slowly went to his desk and sat down. At least he is not completely surrounded by Hanson haters. Megan liked Hanson, but not as much as I did. My friends in the back row liked Hanson too. They were Bill, John, Jennifer, Nathan, Elizabeth, Tim, and Amanda. Zac was going to sit next to Bill. I turned my head back to Mrs Grooms. I also saw some of the other kids giving Zac some looks. 'Dang it. They're giving Zac weird looks now on his first day,'I thought to myself, a bit upset.
"Now guys. I want you to be nice to Zac, even if he is in Hanson. Don't try to kill him or anything like that now,"Mrs Grooms said.
"Yeah. Don't throw stuff at him either. Just do the same things you guys did when Nick Newman and Megan C showed up. I know Nic D became friends with Nick right away. And Meghan W already knew Megan C. So try to be nice to Zac,"Mr Gaither said.
We went on with the Bill of Rights. Then we were able to work on our Mars Projects.
"Meghan, Seth, Beth, Nic, Scott, Dan, and Erin. Zac is going to be in your group. Why don't you guys tell Zac what we are doing, and show him your model,"Mrs Grooms said.
I was happy myself since Zac was in our group. Mrs Grooms led Zac to us. He probably was confused about the Mars project. He probably have never heard of classes doing Mars projects.
"Meghan, are you going to finish making the small tables,"Beth asked me.
"Yep. I will finish the tables,"I answered.
"Okay. Then Zac can help you,"she said.
"That's fine with me. I'm going to try my best to make him comfortable here since a lot of you guys here don't like Hanson. Besides, he looks kind of uncomfortable with some of us making faces at him, and he's probably uncomfortable because he has never been to a school before,"I said.
"How come he has never been to a school before? Besides, how do you know that,"Beth asked.
"I'm a Hanson fan. All of the Hanson guys have been homeschooled. That's why they don't go to school. Besides, it's easier for them to be homeschooled, and that way, they can travel to other places to do concerts,"I said. "And I know that because I have 7 books about the guys."
I walked up to Zac, and told him what we were doing. I explained to him how we made the tables, and we chatted while we were making the tables.
"Why did you guys move here anyway?"I asked.
"We just decided to move to a place that doesn't have as many fans like we have in Tulsa. I already miss Tulsa. At least the fans won't be following us everywhere now. Why is everybody giving me these weird faces,"Zac said.
"Because their haters. They don't care for your music. Besides, the guy you're sitting next to is Bill, and he's a fan. So is John that sits on the other side of Bill, and Nathan that sit between Bill and Jen. The girls, Jennifer, Elizabeth, and Amanda, they're fans too, and so is Tim,"I said.
"Okay. No wonder I feel kind of uncomfortable here. Because of these Hanson haters,"Zac said. We went back to work on the tables. I told Zac about myself, and how I became deaf, and that kind of thing. Then we heard a scream. We both turned our head to the counter. I saw Megan shaking her arm.
"She must have burned herself. She is not careful with hot glue guns or exacto knifes,"I told Zac.
"Then I better stay away from her. At least I'm getting to know you. And at least you didn't scream in my face or just mumble or not knowing what to say,"Zac said.
"That's because I know you guys hate that. I have 4 websites about you guys, but I say the best one it My Ike Tay Zac Hanson Trio Page. I have a lot more stuff there than my other sites do,"I said.
"I would like to see it. Can you give me the address like during lunch break,"Zac said.
"Sure I can. I'll write the address down during math time so it will be ready for you during lunch time,"I said.
We went back to the tables.
