Chapter 24: Dad moves out, Mom & Riece Trades Rooms

On April 10, my dad moved out of the house. My parents decided to seperate since they didn't love each other anymore. I wasn't really happy about that at first. That Monday after I got home from school, there was dad packing up his things and putting them in his car. Mom and Riece went to do some grocery shopping while I helped dad pack up some of his things. We packed his CDs, some movies, towels, and a bunch of other things. We then went over to the Casper Village apartments and took in the boxes. We went back to the house and packed some more things, and got the computer in the car. We then went back to the apartment, taking everything out of the car and into the apartment.

We went back to the house after that, and dad gave me his zip drive. He got it hooked to the computer. He showed me how to use the zip drive. Mom then came home from the flower shop with Rob's van. Dad and I then took out the computer desk, dad's desk, a small shelf, the recliner, and some other things and put them in the van. We went over to the apartment, and unpacked the van. After that, we went to Taco Johns for dinner. Then dad took me home and went back to the apartment. Zac knew about my parents seperating since I had told him a few days ago.

For the next few days, I felt weird. It was weird not having my dad around. Zac and I had talked about the whole thing. Even when Crazy 8 and I were in the studio, I couldn't get my mind off of my parents' seperation. At least mom and dad would still be friends. Dad's still going to be coming around for a while, checking on us and help me with my computer problems.

On Sunday the 16th, mom and Riece had decided to trade rooms. Riece spent most of the day cleaning her room, packing up some of her things and mom cleaned her room and toook apart her bed. Mom had gotten just about everything out of the room downstairs, so we started moving my sister downstairs. Mom took apart the bed first, and we brought it downstairs. The mattress were the hardest to get downstairs but we've managed. Once we got Riece moved downstairs, we then helped mom move upstairs. It was one crazy day! We also had some laughs, like with the mattress problems. We did make a hole in the wall when trying to turn Riece's mattress over on the railing so we could get it downstairs.
