Zac, Crazy 8, and I walked to school together. Mackie, Avie, and Jessie did walk with us, but they went on to the playground for recess before school started. Us 8th graders went to the middle school classroom and put our stuff in our lockers. We then just stood around and chatted.
At 8:10, the lights flickered, and we all went to our desks and sat down. Mrs. Grooms and Mr. Gaither stood in the front, and started talking about what we would be doing that morning. Each of the students were given a piece of paper. Whatever task we finished, the teachers had to sign it. Then we all went into the gym for an presentation thingy that they always do every year on the last day of school. The spanish class showed a video. Then Caitlin, Hunter, Kassie, and Michael did their presentation that they did at the graduation. Then Mr. Gaither did his slideshow. The choir sang "My Drivers Test" which we did a bad job of, and "May Our Paths Meet Again" which we did a lot better than we did at graduation.
Tay and Ike also were in the gym too. Crazy 8 and Hanson were to do the songs we did at graduation, and also, each band do a song. CRazy 8 did "Let's Get Crazy" while Hanson did "If Only." We also did our song from graduation together. Then Tay and Ike left with the insturments as the rest went back to the classrooms.
Once the middle school class were seated, Mr. Gaither and Mrs. Grooms told us to go ahead and start cleaning, and so we did. Zac and I were right next to each other, and we cleaned our desks. Zac's happened to be a lot messier than mine, and it was kind of funny watching him try his best to clean out his desk without getting his stuff all over the place.
"Dude! I sure do have a lot of trash in my desk!"Zac told me.
"Haha! That's you though Zac, the messy guy,"I said, smiling.
"Hmm yeah. I sure am messy alright,"Zac said.
"Of course you are! So are ya looking forward to that tour?"I said.
"Dude yes! It's gonna be a blast! And Hanson.net's gonna be a blast too,"Zac said happily.
"Yeah man. Hanson.net does sound cool. I'll have to get my mom to let me get it,"I said as I put my stuff in piles.
I had a pile for stuff I wanted to throw away, another pile for stuff I was going to keep. I threw away all the junk and then got my backpack out of the locker. I then stuffed my backpack full of papers, notebooks, folders, writing stuff, etc... Then my desk was cleaned out. I then cleaned out my part of the locker, then again there weren't much in it. Mr. Gaither signed the paper for the locker and desk being cleaned. I then went to the media center, and Mrs. Neal signed it for having all of my library books returned.
Zac was done withhis dek and working on the locker when I went back into the classroom. I didn't have anything else to do, so I helped Jen, Amanda, and Liz clean. I did help clean the classroom with some of the other students too. By 11:45, the classroom was cleaned. Half of the old desks were outside, those were being taken home by those who wanted to keep the desks. Some of the 7th graders had their new desks in front of them. We were all seated, and Mrs. Grooms was talking.
By noon, we were let out of the building. Before I even left, I took a picture of Mrs. Grooms and Mr. Gaither together. I had taken a few pictures that day. Crazy 8 and the Hansons went on home as Jo, Megan, and I went to AppleBees for lunch. Jo had planned to take Megan and me there for lunch, since we weren't going to see eachother much anymore. I was going off to Centennial for 9th grade with the rest of Crazy 8 and Zac, along with Nick, Nic, and Barrett. Megan was going to CY, and Jo was not going to be our full time interpreter anymore.
We had a nice lunch at Apple Bees. Donna was there too, with a lady, waiting for us. We had our lunch. Then Donna and the lady left sicne they had other things to do. Jo, Megan, and I finished up our lunches. Then Jo drove me home. Instead of me going into my house, I went over to the Hanson house instead since I knew Crazy 8 was going to be there, and we'd be practicing. Jo left to take Megan home.
