In the morning, we all had a quick breakfast and went on our way again. We left Murdo, and started heading towards Yankton, South Dakota. Little was asleep most of the time. I sure did spend a lot of time on my laptop, which drove Emily nuts since I wouldn't let her use it. Tay was on his laptop a lot too, so we chatted and just messed around. I chatted with some of my other friends too.
meggersjoders: hey meg, whats up?
TAYlorDAFISHie: nothin much. me and my fam are just on our way to Miss.
meggersjoders: cool! Car trip?
TAYlorDAFISHIE: duh! how else would we get there? It's our first car trip going someplace far. We're stopping in several places on the way
meggersjoders: coolies. which places?
TAYlorDAFISHie: S. Dakota, Neberaska, Kansas, Ok, Arkansas, New Orleans...
meggersjoders: cool!
My screen name on AIM is TAYlorDAFISHie, and Meggersjoders was my whacko friend Nancy. Nan did have a webcam too, but she doesn't exactly know how to set up a video chat and I don't even bother telling her how since I always seem to have a hard time explaining things to her. Anyway, Emily kept on nagging me about letting her check her mail and such. I don't allow anyone, and I do mean ANYONE to use my laptop.
We got to Yankton, had a quick lunch there, and headed to Winnetoon, Neberaska. Of course, we stopped at the Missouri River, which was my request. We all hung out for a while, getting the chance to stretch our legs. I was just staring out into the river, remembering back to March 7, 1999, which was the last time I was at the river.
"What cha thinking about?"Tay asked me.
"Oh just remembering Grandpa Kelly's funeral. This was where we threw his ashes,"I replied. I took a picture of the river so that I would have one for my room, and also did some videotaping.
Soon we all got back in the cars and drove through Winnetoon. As we drove through the extremely tiny town, I had my video camera and was taping the town. Grandpa Kelly had lived in Winnetoon. We later got to Omaha, and went to the mall there for a while. Then we left again, went through Lincoln and got to Junction City, Kansas for the night.
