William's Watery Riposte (Royal Palace News)

Prince William is perhaps one of the most loved teenagers in the world. The fact remains that he is still a teenager. The facts that he is second in line to the throne and the son of one of the last century's iconoclasts do not diminsh the pressures that such an age places on a boy. So, should we be really too surprised to read of him exhibiting the irrational behaviour he displayed in Klosters. The story reported in the press over the weekend was of how he was not overly enthused by a friendly reprimand from his former nanny, Tiggy Legge-Bourke. William and some 15 friends were being rather boisterous in a restaurant in the Swiss resort, much to the distraction of other diners it would appear. Tiggy, her former duties and friendship for the princes foremost in her mind, attempted to get the prince to tone it down a bit. William is said to have told her to go away and when she refused he threw a glass of water over her. Tiggy, fuming, left the restaurant soaking wet. It is not reported whether the prince, kudos and independence in the eyes of his fellow revellers intact, took any great delight in his actions but if he is a typical teenager and not just another brattish lout he would have definitely felt some remorse for them. It is unclear quite what Charles made of the incident, or even if he had been notified of it, but one believes that neither of the princes will be overly happy with what happened.
