Royal patron for Scottish Chamber Orchestra(Yahoo: Ananova)

The Prince of Wales, whose other titles include that of Duke of Rothesay, has agreed to become the patron of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
The orchestra played for Prince Charles at Holyrood Palace during his visit to Edinburgh in May.
The success of the event led to talks to further the relationship, culminating in the prince's decision to take on the patronage of the orchestra.
A spokesman at St James's Palace said: "The Duke of Rothesay is very pleased and proud to be invited to become the new patron of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra."
Donald MacDonald, chairman of the orchestra, said: "We are delighted to welcome HRH The Duke of Rothesay as the orchestra's patron.
"Prince Charles's association with the SCO endorses the excellence of the orchestra's work and its importance to Scotland as a national asset, both at home and as a cultural ambassador around the world.
"We hope this relationship will develop over the following months and years to help bring music and the work of the orchestra into the lives of increasing numbers of people throughout Scotland and beyond."
