My Hockey Page

HOCKEY

I am a Forward I play Center and Wing because as everyone knows Centers can play Wing. I have been playing Hockey for about 2 and 1/2 years now. I have played Both Ice and Roller hockey though Mostly Roller. I would have to say honestly I enjoy Ice hockey more but I am better at Roller. I have watched hockey however for about 5 years now not Devoutly like everyone else I know but I do enjoy watching the game it is just that Playing it is so much more fun. You cannot call yourself an expert on the game I believe untill you have stepped out onto that sheet of ice and played the game, because when you do you gain an insight that allows you to view the game in a different way.

For skills I would have to say I am average at Stick handling I have some moves but more I rely on my speed which I would have to say is my best skill. I am devastatingly fast and quick to accelerate which gives me an edge on some players, My shot is nothing special it is average to a little under average but it is improving every week. I play Hockey at least 2 times a week, and any other time I can out on the ice.

I played Organized Ice hockey last year for a Midget B double B class team I was no big player I was 3rd line for most of the season and occasionally put up to 2nd and I played for about a month on the 1st line, I led the Rookies in Scoring with 25 points 12 goals 13 assists. My shining moment of the season came in a Tournament we were losing 1 to 0 at the end of the 2nd period, a Player got an outlet pass and had a 1 on 1 with a defenseman of ours I broke back as fast as I could and managed to catch him as he went around my defenseman on the board side I checked him hard took the puck and passed it up to My Center(Most likely best Player in this Class and Midget A class for the State of Wyoming) he then took it up into the zone I skated fast to get back he dropped a pass to me I picked it up and shot a back hand shot over the far shoulder of the Butterflyed goalie to tie the game. which we won 3 to 2. My Center told me that it was good Because not only Did I manage a beautifull shot on goal, but I tied the game and he believes if we had gone into the 3rd Period down a goal we would have lost. Now I just play for a Mens Roller hockey team and A few other small time teams

I am also a Hockey Coach I coach kids from 14 to 16 years of age in Roller hockey My team is good we have only lost 3 games out of the 30 we have played but I only really have one good kid on the team the rest just are average and they play together and they try hard. I have learned alot from watching them, I learned Humbility, and Doing your job and trusting in your Teammates to do their job. I have seen more Player responsibility from them and Teamwork than I have on some of the teams I have played.

Important or Sentimental Peices of equipment (Because Every hockey player has something special to treasure)

My Easton Pro Gold 100 stick: I scored my first goal with this stick and my best goal too
The Puck from my first goal: (If you want to see it you have to ask Pandora I gave it to her), I scored a Wrap around with the stick mentioned above,
My Nike Wrist bands: (a White one for the Left Wrist a Black one for the Right Wrist) Never play a game without them
