This is a Internet petition to
propose a "Consideration Bill." The "Consideration Bill
" simply states the following: "No one PERSON or group
of PEOPLE can be harassed by any form of press to an
intolerable extent." This may interfere with certain
freedom of the press laws. When those laws were
created, society did not have such things as the
Internet, television, computers, new age photography,
and numerous tabloids, magazines, and newspapers that
are easily spread around the world. Freedom of the press
laws are completely abused by certain individuals.
Those laws were not meant to be used the way they are
now used. The makers of such a law did not know what
technical inventions would be created to aid today's
press. The press has drastically changed, so we need
to alter the freedom of the press laws to go with that
change. In our day it is doing more bad than good.
Those who created the freedom of the press laws, did
not intend for the press to become so out of control.
It is no longer justice for the press calling it
"Freedom of the Press," it is now a great injustice
to it's victims. It is now better to consider it
"Harassment of the Press." That is exactly how the
press is now abusing it is own law. We, the people
proposing the consideration petition, have not
experienced such harassment, but we know that it is
not right. We are simply doing this out of the goodness
of our hearts. Please consider a "Consideration Bill.""
