YIKES!!!Look at the size of those horns!
You might wonder why I included this photo on this page.It was torture to be less than 30 yards away from these elk and not be able to hunt one! This was at the National Elk Refuge,north of Jackson(WY)in 1998.You are taken out in the midst of thousands of elk in a horse drawn wagon(sleigh if enough snow is on the ground)and it is so awesome. During the time when this picture was taken,Park Officials estimated 8000 elk were wintering at the Refuge. next page home |
