We were getting so good at this that we began working 2 pathways at a time as we winded our way around and around what was truly becoming a Sacred Circle.
And the diameter continued to grow wider and wider and wider. Even working the pathways two at a time seemed to be taking forever. The days were long and hot, but we continued to proceed.
July 18, 2003, Wes took a break and climbed Missy Rock to take a picture from above.
July 19, 2003 while I was visiting in Sedona, Wes poured the cement in the center of the Labyrinth. I asked him to leave a six-inch or so opening in the very center so I can place live roses in the center when doing Ceremony. Spirit nudged me on that one.
July 20, 2003, we decided to put a 6 inch edging around the outside round of border on the Labyrinth to use for placing the 112 luminary representations. That meant another round of hauling bricks, dirt and sand, but was well worth the effort.
July 21, 2003, Wes decided that we needed to form a retaining type wall around the 6 inch edging we had just finished. I remember thinking Oh My Gosh, that’s yet another full round of bricks times 3 that would need to be hauled into place. I was most definitely becoming ONE with the energies of the bricks.
July 23, 2003, I found a Kokopelli on a stand and decided to place those energies outside the Labyrinth.
July 23, 2003 found me frustrated because I couldn’t come up with how to make the luminary representations in a manner that would compliment the Labyrinth. My dear SiSTAR Pat Ard, donated to the Labyrinth 112 hand picked crystals to use, and I needed to create a way to place them. I bought some sheet metal and cut it into strips so I could form 112 triangles, and later I placed aquarium rock in the center of each triangle for a bit of color.
July 28, 2003, I was able to catch this “visitor” flying over the Labyrinth. I do not know this person, I only know he must live in the vicinity and I’ve caught him several times flying this balloon thing over the Labyrinth. I call this the First Landing…LOL I do plan on finding out who this is and asking him to fly over the Labyrinth and take pictures for me.
On July 28, 2003, the Spirit Quest Sign and banner were also finished, so of course I took a break and picked them up.
July 29, 2003 I finished the triangular luminaries and placed the crystals in the center of each of them. It really does look nice, with the energies of the different colors.
July 30, 2003 and the Spirit Quest Sign was hung with a labor of Love.
Although I realize that it's not the name, or the sign, or the banner that is important, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment once the sign was hung on the entrance trellis. It definitely was one of those "feel good" experiences.
The project was honestly looking and feeling like a real Labyrinth. It was an enriching experience to begin to walk the Labyrinth, feeling the earth, rock and elemental energies as I did so. Continue the Labyrinth Journey Here
July 5, 2003 has brought me to the realization that it is very hot in the Bear Lake Valley in the summer time. There are days when the thermometer reads 110-115 degrees out on the Labyrinth area. Even though I was feeling a bit sluggish, I knew I had to keep plugging away or the Labyrinth wouldn’t get finished this particular summer. Wes had been notified that he would be working out of town for up to 3 months without being able to come home so he planned a week’s vacation to help me. I also had planned a vacation in July to visit friends in Sedona, so the pressure was being felt.
