Thank you. I wanna thank you all so much for being here. You are absolutely the greatest fans on earth! You know, being here with all of you tonight and reliving the excitment and magic of Elvis in concert, with the help of his wondeful band members, backup singers, and the support and care of my family who are here this evening, "Hi Mom and Dad". I can think of no greater way to pay tribute to Elvis Presley. I honestly wish he were here today to see this. It's important for me to let you know that Lisa and I along with all of Elvis' family and friends, and the Graceland staff deeply appreciate your dedication to Elvis' memory. We felt that tonight would be a special and meaningful way to thank you for your never ending loyalty. I honestly mean that. Everyone in this coliseum tonight and millions around the world share a great love for Elvis, and respect for him too. He was a rare and very special human being. Through all our memories, through his timely body of work and to each new generation of fans, his legacy will live forever. I believe that when historians reach for the record books for the twenieth century, surely Elvis will mark an era of popular culture and history which opened the doors to a new expression and form of entertainment that which we now call 'Rock n Roll'. Now that we approach the end of the twentieth century his contributions seem more in focus than ever. You'll have to exuse me I'm a little nervous tonight. He was truely an immense talent whos light I'm happy to say will never fade. Elvis and I shared some great times together and some very special moments. He was proud of his accomplishments and his achievements but nothing made Elvis prouder than his daughter, Lisa Marie. For many months now, Lisa and I have been looking foward to this very special night. But like Elvis shes not one for making big speeches, so she wanted to pay tribute to her father and express her appreciation to you in a very special way. Lisa wasn't sure just what exactly she wanted to do and how to do it, but about three weeks ago she came up with a incredible idea. And I know Elvis would be just as proud of her as I am for what she has come up with. It would mean the world to him, and I'm sure it will mean the world to you.
Priscilla Ann Wagner werd geboren op 24 mei 1945 kind van Luitenant James Wagner and Anne Wagner in Brooklyn New York. Haar vader kwam om in een vliegtuig crash. Haar moeder hertrouwde met Kapitein Joseph Paul Beaulieu. In 1962 trok ze in bij Elvis op Graceland. Na de dood van Elvis speelde ze in diverse films. Ze trok zijn dood erg aan.
Dankzij haar hulp kon Graceland opengesteld worden voor publiek. Na de dood van Vernon Presley werd zij de nieuwe President van the Elvis Presley's Enterprises.
