British Honduras (Belize)

. B.H

After the 10 months we came back home & was stationed up North at Barnard Castle  Then the next posting was British Honduras Now Belize Seen here with my best friends Dave Waterman Stuart  Walker & Jeff  Wilkinson. The second picture was taken in Mexico while we were on leave December 1962 to after the new year 1963 Stuart  didn't go BTW Dave Clark was supposed to but finished up in jail on the camp, for abusing the system. We worked on the Telephone exchange doing shift work. I thought of a way of going to the pictures, by running a cable out of the back of    the exchange over to the Cinema. But Dave went one better he ran it over to the NAAFI & got drunk not hearing it ring.

Out site the TX site. The pot on my arm is due to sun burn on to of a scald scar,  it wouldn't heal up.

My regular job as I said earlier while I was in B.H. was on the Telephone exchange, and manning the    radio when needed. Twice I had to take disaster calls. Once on the Telephone exchange when a plain    was going down in the river I had to call out the rescue team, then once on the radio when some one     got there hands blown off by a mortar.

But due to the sun burn I got on my arm they put me on life guard at the pool as the chlorine in the   water was the only thing that was healing it up, after trying every thing else.

To go into Mexico we had to have a passport on page six is the photo out of mine. But first a little story Dave Waterman had no money on our return home from Mexico to pay his bus fare. So he asked  the driver if his pass port would act as security the driver accepted this but, Dave never went back to pay the bus company and never got his pass port back.
