Azza Anala

Azza clutched her mother's skirt. Why were her sisters leaving? They were a year older and a year younger. But in the back of her mind, she knew she had an edge over them when they found each other again. She had a teacher who could spark her power endlessly and Azza could profit from this highly. She would miss her sisters, but at 4, she would probably not remember their names in a few years.

As she grew, she learned more from her mother each day, her memories of her sisters faded and she learned to control her firey power a bit higher. But not her temper. And this made her aging mother think about the gift she had for her daughter. "Not yet..." she would think and watch Azza patiently.

At 15, she was ready for the gift. Her temper still burned within her, but it was lessening. Her mother softly chanted a bit and a wolf pup slowly appeared in her arms. It had blazing red fur and golden eyes, a tiny horn in the center of its forehead. When her mother placed it into Azza'a arms, she found it hot to the touch. The puppy was on fire. And that was when Azza took a closer look. That wasn't fur, it was fire and the dog was covered in it. She looked at her mother, speechless. It had to be the only one of its kind and it was hers.
"He'll grow," she told her child.

And he did. Flare grew about 6 or 7 times the size of Azza and was perfect for riding. His horn grew long and fierce claws sprouted from the huge beast's paws. Not only did he look dangerous, he was. And quite protective of his mistress.

"Find your sisters......" Madia trailed off, as Azza held her hand. "Give these to them...." a soft thud was heard as a green flute and a blue and a blue violin and bow dropped to the ground. "This is for you," she continued, retrieving for her last daughter a red lute. "Carry it well... and mind them, please. Stay together..." and she died, peacefully, slipping into the other worlds. Azza knew she was alone. But not for long, she would find her sisters.
