- Teen Center:
- The Teen Center is located inside the safe confines of
Carney Park, yet offers a place for teens, 13 - 18, a
place to get away from it all. The center has pool
tables, Ping-Pong and air-hockey, plus computers and a
large screen TV. Throughout the year, trips are
planned to local restaurants, bowling alleys and other
places to meet local teens, or take a weekend trip to
other military bases in Italy. Each spring, the Teen
Center takes a Spring Break trip, the last three have
been to London, Paris and Greece. There is always
something going on at the MWR Teen Center.

- LIBERTY, Recreation for Singles:
- The LIBERTY program is designed for 18 - 25 year old
single service members and civilians. It offers day trips
to local restaurants, movies, sporting events, tourist
spots and more. Plus, each month of the year, LIBERTY
takes one extended trip to exciting places and events
throughout Europe such as, New Years in London, St.
Patricks Day in Dublin, or Bullfighting in Spain.
All LIBERTY events are discounted to help give everyone
the chance to enjoy Europe. LIBERTY also offers terrific
special events such as the annual Body Building Contest
and a free Spring party at Carney Park with great food
and entertainment. The LIBERTY office is located at
Capodichino, in the basement of BEQ 1, and is always
looking for new ideas and events.

- Youth Sports:
- MWR offers seasonal youth sports programs in Soccer,
Basketball, Bowling, Softball, Baseball and T-ball.
Red-cross swimming lessons are offered during the summer
months at Carney Park. Additionally, there are ongoing
classes in Tae-Kwon-Do and a variety of Dance lessons.
MWR sports depend upon volunteers and teachers from the
community. Sports such as tennis or roller hockey can
only be offered if instructors are available. If you can
coach, or can teach a class, please let the Youth
Activities Director know, they would love to have you as
part of the MWR team.

- Shopping Outlets:
- Carney Park: Carney Park Sports Store offers a variety of
sporting equipment, skiing and camping gear. You can also
rent equipment at the outdoor rec building. Open Monday -
Saturday 1000 - 1700.

- Carney Park Golf Course Pro Shop: The Pro-shop has a
large assortment of golf clubs, accessories and clothing.
The Pro shop is open daily except Tuesday.

- Fitness Center:
- The Capo Fit-Zone is the newest gem in Naples. This
39,000 square foot facility has a 25 meter indoor lap
pool, sauna and Jacuzzi, three racquetball courts,
basketbal / volleyball courts, sand volleyball court,
aerobics room with suspended maple floor, cardio machines
which connect you to the Cardio-theater wall
so you can workout to your most motivating channel, Medex
and Hammerstrength systems as well as free weights.
Instruction is offered throughout the week in a variety
of fitness specialties and a weight trainer is available
to help you meet you personal fitness goals.
- Intramural Sports:
- MWR offers intramural sports programs in Softball, Flag
Football, Volleyball, Indoor Soccer, and
Basketball. Other sports may become available as
interest and facilities allow.

- Movie
Theater :
- MWRs main movie theater is located in the TLA in
Pinetamare. This 35mm movie theater shows the most
current movies available at a very reasonable price.
Movie schedules are available on the NSA Website, in the
Panorama, and daily on AFN. The new theater at Capo is
scheduled to open in late 1998, and a duplex will open at
the Support Site in 2000.

- Library:
- The NSA library is currently located at building 50 at
Agnano, by the Country Store. The new facility at Capo
opens in late 1998. The library offers books and
videos for check out, as well as periodicals and computer
use on site. Story time is offered weekly for children
3-8 years old, and each month the library presents
extended information on various ethnic and cultural
events.

- Auto Hobby Shop:
- The Auto Hobby Shop in Agnano provides military members
and their families a place to work on their cars with
expert advice from their staff. Oil is sold here and
diagnostic machines are available to help you keep those
famous Napoli cars up and running.
- Special
Events :
- MWR hosts many special events throughout the
year. The biggest event of the year is Festa
Americana over the July 4th weekend. This community
relations event gives almost 50,000 people a taste of
hot-dogs, fireworks and pure Americana! Other events
include Oktoberfest, Buona Festa Christmas
Celebration, and the annual Easter Egg hunt at Carney
Park.

- Clubs and Organizations
- There is so much to see and do in this area and one of
the best ways to get out and see it all is by joining one
of the many clubs and organizations in the Naples
area.Whether you're into scuba diving off the Isle of
Capri or enjoying scrumptious and entertaining luncheons
with an international flair, there's something for
everyone here. The following is a partial listing of the
many clubs in the Naples area:
- AFSouth Sub Aqua Club: The Naples area
English-speaking diving club is located on AFSouth in the
basement of Bldg. A (behind the bowling alley). The club
is open to all U.S. military members, military members
from NATO and their families. They provide equipment
rental and repair, air fills and scuba training up to the
assistant instructor level. From May through September
the club organizes dives to some of the most beautiful
areas in southern Italy. Membership is $15.00 per year.
- American Women's Club: Open to all U.S. military
and non-military, officer, enlisted and civilian women in
the Naples area. The club offers friendship and more.
Discover Naples and Italy with the help of guidance and
experience of other members. The AWC enjoys social events
such as morning coffees and evening pizzas and a wide
variety of tours and trips. Annual membership dues are
L30.000 (about $20.00).
- Allied Officers' Wives' Club: International
luncheons and socials, open to wives of NATO and U.S.
officers.
- Breakaway Motorcycle Club: Bikers can
enjoy the Italian countryside and share technical
information and road experience. The club meets the first
and third Wednesday of every month.
- Gaeta Officers' Spouse Club: Experience monthly
socials and cultural activities through GOSC. Historic
town trips, factory tours from clothing to cuisine and
sample local cooking. A monthly newsletter offering the
latest on community activities comes with the annual
$12.00 membership fee. Open to spouses of active duty and
retired spouses, civilian tech reps, American Consul and
Vice Consul members, spouses and members of the teaching
staff and civilian employees GS-9 and above.
- Naples Officers' Spouse Club: Monthly tours and
socials with the NOSC will enhance your tour of bella
Napoli. Open to spouses of all U.S. military officers and
civilian employees GS-7 or above. The NOSC also publishes
the "Shopping on the Boot" handbook and a
cookbook, "II Gusto del Palato" as well as
contributing to local charities. For details write NOSC,

- Naples NATO Officials Association: Get involved in
the area sporting events by officiating the many
basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, football,
soccer and wrestling events in the Naples area.
Membership is open to anyone interested in sports
officiating and required for referees and umpires in the
area. $20.00 annual fee.
- Naples Tennis Association: Monthly socials and
overnight trips to local attractions to play tennis and
just get away. Minimal annual dues.
- Sci Marco Ski Club: Unparalleled skiing

for single and $40.00 for family membership (trips
