“Tighten the chains, demon.”

“Yes, master!”

Location: Hell.

“RERRAARRRG!!!” Baelrog screamed.

Baelrog was suspended above a stone, chains pulling his arms and legs.  Before him was a demon named Belial.  Belial was a black color, and as tall as Diablo.  His arms were covered in dark green spikes and four horns came out from his head.

“I’ll...  Destroy...  You...” Baelrog growled.

“Oh please, Baelrog.  You are pathetic.  A demon who believed he could invade and take over the realm ruled by Heaven itself.  That world is protected by the Sailor Soldiers.  You should’ve tried something easier, like Dionysus.  That one only has one Sailor protecting it.” Belial laughed.

“I...  Shall...  Never...  Serve...  You...” Baelrog roared.

Belial rolled his eyes and bid his Familiar to walk with him.  “Come, demon.  There are other souls in this dark city for me to conquer.”

The two walked away from Baelrog, who relaxed his muscles.  Baelrog had been the key player during the events of what had been called ‘Kingdom Come’ on earth.  However, an army of Sailors, including the Sailor Titans, was enough to defeat him.  Now, he was back in his home, to be tormented for attempting to conquer Heaven, Hell, and Earth.

“Hmmm...  You seem depressed for some reason, demon.”

Baelrog raised his head up.  Before him was a human woman wrapped in a cloak.  It was Charsi.

“Who are you, woman?” Baelrog inquired.

“My name is Charsi.  I see you’re in quite a predicament.  Thanks to the Titans, no less?” Charsi grinned.

“Yes.” Baelrog replied coldly.  “Do you know of them?”

“Almost defeated them the last time I encountered them.”

“Then you know my pain.”

“Well, yes I do.  However, I know a way to gain revenge.  Not just against the Titans, but against Heaven, Hell, and the planet that did this to you: Earth.”

“I’m listening.”

Charsi pulled out from the cloak a small, pencil-long stick.  It was a silver color, and at the end of it was a star with the Greek symbol for Alpha on it.

“What is that?” Baelrog asked.

“Power.” Charsi merely replied.  She walked over and pulled out the Horadric Malus from her cloak.  She quickly used it to break Baelrog free from the chains that bound him.

“It is a Sailor transformation stick, but one unlike all others.  This is the transformation stick for Sailor Alpha Centauri.  The bearer of this will gain the armor, the technology that could crush even Neo-Queen Serenity herself.”

Baelrog stared at the item in front of him that Charsi held out.

“What’s in this for you?” Baelrog inquired, raising an eye up.

“My freedom from Hell.  A chance to share in your revenge.” Charsi replied.

Baelrog inspected the stick further, and smiled.  He took it from her hand.

“What must I do?” He asked.

“Shout, ‘Alpha Centauri Power.’  After that, you’ll have to dispose of Belial and do something to keep Hell occupied while we release all the demons from it.” Charsi explains.

“It is a deal, Charsi.  You know, I could come to like you.” Baelrog said.

“Alliances were always my strong point.” Charsi smiled.

“ALPHA CENTAURI POWER!!!”

The transformation stick lit up, glowing a silver aura that encompassed Baelrog.  Then, the aura grafted onto his body and formed a silhouette of the Sailor Centauri armor, but it started to change.  Armoring formed up to compensate for his horns and spikes.  Also, the size and proportions of the armor changed to fit around him.  The armor plating seemed to unfold itself as it fully formed around him.  The helmet swirled around his head like it was alive, forming the alien-like shape of the helmet.

Baelrog squeezed his fist and smiled.

“Yes...  I feel the power!  This power that Angels themselves must fear!” Baelrog exclaimed.

“Yes, my ally.  Now, let us take leave of this accursed place.”

Belial growled as he saw his minions running around in a blind panic.  The area around them was shaking, and the door to his chamber was being pounded upon.  Suddenly, the metal door came off of its hinges and fell down to the ground with a loud Thud that reverberated through the chamber.  Belial sat on his thrown, glaring at the figure standing in the doorway.

Sailor Centauri.

“This is a quite unexpected surprise.  I didn’t expect a Sailor.” Belial states.

As Sailor Centauri approached him, Belial sniffed the air, and his eyes got wide.

“No, not a Sailor!  The stench of Baelrog is upon you!” Belial exclaimed.

Baelrog grinned within the helmet.  He came up right in front of Belial, who balled up his fist.  Belial then slammed his fist right into the armor, and then recoiled as pain shot through it.  Centauri did not feel a thing.  He grabbed Belial by the throat.

“You were a fool, Belial, to assume that I was so easily tamed.  And now, you and your precious demonic city, along with hell itself, are about to feel the chill of winter!” Centauri shouted.

Belial could not speak, for his body was beginning to be encased in ice from Centauri’s touch.  Before his eyes froze over, Belial saw the hellfires around him light up brighter and larger, and they came out of the grounds that they spewed from and into Sailor Centauri, who laughed maniacally.  The ice was spreading from Belial into the entire land of Hell as the hellfires extinguished into Sailor Centauri.

And so, the entire plane of horror and despair for the damned froze over.  The remaining thousands of demons rose up from the snow and ice and found the gates of hell open.  And Sailor Centauri and Charsi stood before them all.

“Come, my demon brothers!  Now is the time for the demise of both Heaven and the creation that their God favors!  Let this be their day of reckoning!  LET THIS BE THEIR JUDGMENT DAY!”

And with that, the denizens of Hell marched and flew up to the world they despised so much.

Earth.

*Theme song: Moonlight Densetsu, Movie Style*

“It’s days like this I’m happy I stayed in Crystal Tokyo.”

Christine Finnethy, AKA Sailor Crystal in the form she was in currently, had spoken those words.  She was sliding across a slide of crystal she had formed with her hands.  She patrolled over the tall buildings of the glorious and beautiful city known as Crystal Tokyo on her nightly patrol to continue ensuring peace in the city she loved.

“I mean, most of the other Titans left to go out on their own on private missions or spiritual quests, and after what happened with Sailor Argent, I felt like going too, but it’s having a night like this, peace and quiet, that makes me love this city so much.” She said to herself.

She looked down over the edge of the crystal platform she was on to see a street road beginning to crack up and fire spew out from it.  She sighed and began forming a crystal slide to get down there.

“I always speak too soon.”

The concrete road exploded upwards as several demons began flooding out of it.

“CRYSTAL CRUSHER BEAM!!!”

Sailor Crystal clapped her hands together, and slowly separated them, forming an energy ball in her hands.  She then launched the ball down at the demons.  When it hit them, their bodies were instantly encased in a crystal that left them blocking the hole.  However, their crystallized bodies shattered and were broken as more demons pushed their way through the inanimate demons and begin their invasion into the streets.  Crystal raised an eyebrow and activated her wrist communicator.

“This is Sailor Crystal to Crystal Tower!  We have a situation developing on county road F.  Requesting backup immediately!” she shouted.

“YES, KILL THEM ALL!”

Crystal turned to the sound of the voice, and saw that on a street several meters away from the previous one, another hole was forming, and coming out of it, floating on anti-gravity jets, was Sailor Centauri.

“I quit.” Crystal exclaimed, sliding down to attack Sailor Centauri.

“Military police have already been dispatched, your highness.” Sailor Mars reported, working from a computer station.

“Well then get more out there!  And as soon as you’re done with those orders, send out a call to all Sailors in the city to begin engaging the demons.  It looks like another demonic invasion.” Serenity said.

“Your highness, we just got a rather odd report from a SWAT team officer.  He says Sailor Centauri has come out of one of the hellmouths.” Sailor Jupiter reports.

The eight inner senshi, along with their Queen, were silent from that news.  Serenity quickly sent out her next order.

“Amara, get me my transformation stick, and then all of you prepare yourselves.  It looks like we have a much bigger problem than I thought.” Serenity commanded.

Crystal held back the drooling demon with extremely sharp and large teeth that was attempting to eat her.  She gritted her teeth as her grip on the raging demon began to weaken, and other demons began to approach her.

“HAND OF DESTINY!!!”

A line of demons was vaporized on the spot from a white and gold beam from the sky.  Sailor Angel dropped down immediately and hit the drooling demon Crystal was fighting with his staff.  The demon leapt back up at him, but Angel slammed his staff into it again, and beat it into a bloody pulp right afterwards.  He breathed heavily, and then helped Crystal up.

“Someone’s in a peeved mood.” She stated.

“I’ve been meaning to get my anger about the Titans’ leaving out of my system.  Who knew a demonic invasion would relieve my stress?” Angel replied.

Crystal smiled, but a Claw Viper snarled at her and jumped onto her.  Angel prepared to strike at that one, but a skeleton hit Angel with a mace in its hand.

“HYPERION LANCE!!!”

“MIMAS PUNCH!!!”

A lance glowing a black aura slammed through the Claw Viper’s head, impaling it instantly.  It fell down, dead.  The skeleton was quickly broken apart by two fists glowing with a red intensity.  The fists belonged to Sailor Mimas, and the lance to Sailor Hyperion.  The two helped Angel and Crystal up.

“Bloody hell, what are you two doing here?!” Angel asked.

“We were here for a visit when her majesty declared a state of emergency.” Mimas explained.

“We’re told that the Queen herself has transformed and is on her way here to engage the demons with her personal guards.” Hyperion states.

“Where are the others?” Crystal asks.

“The rest of Titans West has engaged the being that is calling itself Sailor Centauri.” Hyperion explains.

“WHAT?!” Angel demanded.

“Over there.” Mimas pointed to the giant figure that was now towering over Crystal Tokyo.  It was Sailor Centauri.  Sailor Angel growled and took to the skies, pushing his wings to the limit.  Sailor Crystal formed a crystal bridge and brought the two former Dark Titans with her to approach Sailor Centauri.

In a land of grayness, a land of neutrality and sorrow, the citizens of this land looked down upon the earth.

And for the first time in thousands of years, these beings living in the sorrow did the one thing no one had expected them to do.

For the first time in recorded and unrecorded history, they wondered if there was anything they could do to help.

“GIGA CANNON!!!”

Sailor Centauri’s back plate opened up, and two cannons came out and rested on his shoulders.  They glowed for a moment, and then fired out two Terra Force-sized yellow energy balls that enveloped Sailors Tethys, Enceladus, and Neptune.  They then were blasted back into the ground, parts of their outfits torn or worn.

“CRYSTAL CRUSHER BEAM!!!”

“MARS FLAME SNIPER!!!”

“PLUTO DEADLY SCREAM!!!”

The three attacks disintegrated when they hit Sailor Centauri, not doing the least bit of damage onto him.  Sailor Angel glared down; his holy energy rising as he suddenly knew exactly who this being ‘pretending’ to be Sailor Centauri was.

“BAELROG!” he exclaimed.

Centauri stopped and looked up at Sailor Angel, whose fists were glowing a bright gold color as his eyes had turned to pure white.

“Well, well, well!  It’s the former bearer of this mantle!” Centauri laughed.

“How did you escape from Hell?!”

All of a sudden, a small hammer hit Sailor Angel’s wing.  The power of the hammer sent the wing out of alignment, forcing Sailor Angel to crash into a rooftop.  He looked over at another building, where the hammer, AKA the Horadric Malus, returned to the hand of Charsi.

“Hello, Titans.  We meet again.” She said.

“YOU!  You’re dead!” Angel shouts.

“Indeed I am.  I was sent to Hell.” Charsi smiled.

Angel thought about this for a moment.  He then understood.

“After Baelrog was defeated the last time, the Centauri transformation stick went missing.  You found out the last time you were here with Sailor Argent, and thought you’d keep it around as backup.  You gave it to Baelrog in Hell!”

“Brilliant deduction, Titan.  My revenge shall be complete.” Charsi replied.

“I think not, traitor!”

Charsi looked to the sky only to see the flat edge of Azurewrath slam into her face.  She fell to the ground, clutching her face and nose in pain.  Tyrael floated down and helped Angel up.

“I thought you were in Paris with Michelle!” Angel states.

“‘Thanks for helping, Tyrael.’  ‘Nice to see you, Tyrael.’” Tyrael says sarcastically.

“Sorry, old friend, it’s just this was quite unexpected.” Angel replies.

“It’s alright.  To explain, I sensed a disturbance in the ethereal energies between Earth and Hell, and came here to investigate.” Tyrael explains.

“Let’s worry about that later!  We need to worry about big, dumb, and ugly up there!” Mimas shouted.

“Way ahead of you!  Sailor Life, you’re up!” Tethys shouts to them.

Down on the ground, the eight year-old girl opened her eyes, which were now glowing white.  She extended her hands out at Centauri, which were now glowing white as well.

“SOUL LIFE!!!” she shrieked.

A triangular shaped soul-like creature came out of her hands and raced to the inside of Sailor Centauri’s body.  Centauri screamed and roared as he began to shrink down to normal size.  When he finally reached his normal height, the soul came out of him in the form of a red energy ball, which floated over to Sailor Life.  She held it in her hands and smiled.

“I got your hellfire!  Nah-nah-nah-nah-nah-naaaaaaaaah!” she teased, sticking her tongue out at Centauri.

Centauri roared and tries to run at her to reclaim the hellfire, but Angel swooped down and hit him with his staff.  Centauri was knocked back a few feet, landing on his back.  He jumped back up, screaming in rage and hatred.

“HAND OF DESTINY!!!”

Sailor Angel’s hand glowed a bright white, and a gold and white beam shot out of it and slammed into Centauri, sending him back another several meters.  Charsi gracefully jumped down from the building and helped Centauri back up, pulling him back in slight retreat.

But although Centauri and Charsi retreated, nothing else really did.

“GET IT BACK!  GET MY HELLFIRES BACK!  KILL THE MORTALS!  BURN THIS CITY TO THE GROUND!  LET IT ALL BURN!” Centauri roared, shouting out commands to the thousands of demons.

When Charsi and Centauri were well out of sight, the group of Titans and Soldiers all grouped together on the street.

“Well this is another fine mess that we’ve gotten into.” Sailor Mars said.

“Anna, is that thing dangerous?” Uranus asked, referring to the hellfire sphere.

“It is, but I can handle it.  It seems to be screaming to return back to hell.” Life replies.

“We cannot return it directly.  Something that has been forcively taken out of hell cannot return to it directly.  I think we should keep it under wraps for now, and focus our efforts on exorcising Baelrog out of Sailor Centauri.” Tyrael explains.

“As soon as we pull him out of it, what’s to stop some other demon from taking it?” Mercury asks.

“We must find a new host for the Sailor Centauri powers.” Tyrael explains.

Everyone turned to face Sailor Angel.  Angel glared at them all.

“No.” he said.

“Very well, we’ll have to find someone else.” Jupiter states.

“Agreed.  But who?” Angel asks.

“Purgatory.” Tyrael suddenly said.

They all turned to Tyrael.

“Who?” Hyperion asked.

“Not who, but where.  Purgatory is the land between Heaven and Hell, a place for souls that await their final judgment.  We could go there, and retrieve a former ally of the Sailors who has fallen now.” Tyrael explains.

“Tyrael, can you take a small team of Sailors to go to Purgatory and get ourselves a replacement?” Angel asks.

“It shall be done.” Tyrael says.

“Right, here’s the plan!  Mercury, Tethys, Mimas, Jupiter, and Neptune: Go with Tyrael into Purgatory and get a good candidate.  Return as quickly as possible!” Angel commands.

The five nodded as Tyrael slashed an area of air near him with Azurewrath.  The area seemed to wave and distort, and then started glowing a silver color.  The five Sailors followed Tyrael into it, and the area returned to normal after they had finished walking into it.

“Reuisu, another thought comes to mind.” Crystal says.

“What is it?” Angel asks in reply.

“Can Hell really freeze over?” Crystal asks.

“This is not a time for jokes!” Sailor Moon said, approaching them.

“No, your majesty, I see what she’s getting at here.  If hellfire was the mystical energy that bound those demons to Hell, and if that energy was taken away by Baelrog, then yes, I believe Hell really can freeze over.” Angel explains.

“Then you’re saying if we reignite the hellfires, the demons will be forced back into Hell?” Uranus asks.

“That is precisely what I’m saying.” Angel replies.

“Then we shall send a team down to Hell to reignite the fires!  Mars, Crystal, Saturn, Prometheus, and Uranus: Your instructions are to head into Hell and reignite the fires.” Moon orders.

“How exactly are we going to get there?” Mars asks.

“Christine, can you use your crystal formation abilities to create a traveling vessel?” Angel asks.

“I- I can try.  I’ve never done anything like it before, though.” Crystal replies.

“We have faith in you, Christine.  It’s a long way down, and we’re going to need everyone working at their best.” Angel states.

“What about the rest of you?” Prometheus asks.

“Obviously, someone’s got to stay around and continue fighting the demons.” Venus says.

“Right.  Let’s get to work!” Pluto announced.

Everyone nodded.  Mars, Crystal, Saturn, Prometheus, and Uranus all stayed behind as the other Sailors accompanied Sailor Life, who still held the hellfires in her grasp.

“Okay, this is probably going to take a lot out of me, and I don’t even know if it’ll work.” Crystal states.

“All we ask is that you try, Christine.” Mars replies.

Sailor Crystal nodded, and closed her eyes.  The other four backed away from her as she extended her arms out in front of her.  Her hands began to glow a deep red and blue as she murmured, “Crystal Formation!”  All of a sudden, crystal began forming up from the ground.  The crystal smoothed over as it formed into a round shape.  Small wings came out of the upper sides of the crystal, and also created crystalline jets.  The jets suddenly glowed, and the large crystal object floated up a little.  Part of the crystal opened up into a doorway, falling down to the ground and also becoming a ramp into the vessel.  Crystal collapsed onto her knees, breathing heavily.

“Are you alright?” Saturn asked.

“Sorry...  It’s just I’ve never done anything like that before...” Crystal said, wiping the sweat from her forehead.

“With luck, it’ll be the last.  Come on, we’ve got a ticket on the Hell Expressway.” Prometheus states.

For a brief moment, Ami Mizuno thought that Tyrael had made a mistake, and that they had ended up in Hell and not Purgatory.  However, that was only because of the fact that Hell was supposed to be depressing, dark, and terrible.

Purgatory fit that description pretty accurately.

The entire place looked like an old movie, set in black and white coloring.  There was no coloring anywhere.  The sky was not visible because of gray clouds that encompassed the area for miles.  White lightning flashed across it occasionally, sending a crack of sound at great intensities.  When one looks down at the ground, they only see more dark clouds, the ground being hidden along with the sky.  In between the two clouds were large, dark chunks of rock.  They seemed like asteroids to the group that had just entered the land known as Purgatory.  And on those rocks were what appeared to be people.  All of them just standing around, never moving.

“My God...  Is this Hell?” Neptune inquired to Tyrael.

Sailor Mercury remembered what she had thought about a few moments earlier concerning the look of the place, then noticed the fact that all of the group were floating through the air.

If it even was air.

“No.  However, for many, there is no distinction between the two.  We have entered one particular part of Purgatory for Fallen Heroes.  Souls that were evil but died in the end doing good things, or good souls that fell do to their own mistakes and shortcomings of sin.” Tyrael explained.

“It’s so bleak...  Why does such a place need to exist?  Even I feel the sorrow and sadness of this place.” Tethys says.

“Souls must be given the chance to receive fair judgment.  Their fate is either chosen by themselves, or by the Archangel Michael.” Tyrael responds.

“They can choose Heaven or Hell?  It seems like a pretty easy choice...” Jupiter states.

“One would think so, but it is much more complicated.  To choose Heaven brings the shun of many Angels for your past wrongdoings, and a low chance at receiving a position that helps people on your world or against evil.  To choose Hell brings either damnation or favor among the Hellish ranks for some sick reason that you choose Hell.  And so, most remain here, undecided throughout countless millennia.” Tyrael explains.

“It must be terrible...” Mimas implies.

“Indeed.  Now, we must hurry and locate someone for our cause.” Tyrael says, and directs the group to land upon the largest asteroid.

The six landed in the middle of the large, rocky terrain.  The individuals on the surface slowly turned and stared at the group.  The six looked at one another, and Sailor Mercury stepped up.

“Hello.  I don’t know if you’re aware of this, but there’s a crisis on earth, and we need help.  A demonic presence shall soon destroy that world unless it is stopped.  Please, one of you, help us.” She spoke, clearly and loudly.

“Let me!”

The group saw a man only Sailors Mercury and Jupiter could recognize.  It was Prince Diamond of the Dark Moon.

“Well, then please-” Tyrael began.

“Wait!  Let me!” another voice cried.

“I’m sorry, but it’s first come-” Mimas began, but was interrupted by someone else.

“Let me!”

“I need another chance!”

“Please, I’ll do anything!”

The people on the asteroid surface began to come closer to the six, and Tyrael unsheathed Azurewrath in defense.

“Be careful, everybody, they’re desperate!” Neptune shouted, preparing for a Deep Submerge.

“MERCURY!  SAILOR MERCURY!”

The voice had come from someone in the back.  And when that voice had spoken, all of the other souls in the Purgatory stopped approaching the six and cleared to form on aisle.  At the end of that aisle was a cloud of smoke, and a figure was emerging from it.

“Please, forgive them.  They just haven’t seen anyone in a long time...  And it gets lonely in here.  We know what’s happened before, and we want to help.” He said.

The figure in the smoke was now a visible silhouette, and he was beginning to get more and more clear as he approached the six.

“Sailors, can’t you see that’s all we’ve wanted?  All I’VE ever wanted?  I’d hate to end up like last time I tried to do something right for my Kingdom and my people...” he continued.

And then, he was in full view to them.

“I know I helped during Kingdom Come, but I’ve only begun to make up for what I’ve done.”

“No way!” Jupiter shouts.

“It can’t be!” Neptune exclaims.

“I saved the world from freezing...” he spoke.

It was Davros.

“Please,” he said, “let me save it from burning.”

“Man, just look at that out there.” Mars says, looking out through the clear crystal of the vehicle that Sailor Crystal had formed.

Outside, demons were flying and climbing the rocky walls of the chamber and up and through holes to get through Hellmouths and escape from Hell.  The flow was steadily getting less and less as the entire realm of Hell was emptied of its denizens.  Looking down, the occupants of the crystal vehicle saw that they were quickly approaching the ground.  The vehicle slowed down as it reached the bottom, and it landed gently upon the ground.  The door opened, and the group walked out, stretching their arms and legs.

The place was a dark cavern, the walls looking black and undisturbed.  The only thing that seemed to be different from the rest of it were the two gigantic doors that stood before them.  There was some writing written upon it.

“‘Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.’  Cheery little place, isn’t it?” Saturn joked.

“Funny.  Now, let’s get these doors open and go to hell.” Prometheus said.

Mars giggled slightly at that comment, even if Prometheus didn’t know he had made a joke.

Uranus and Prometheus pushed on both of the doors with all their strength.  At first, they did not move, but as more force was applied by adding Mars and Saturn to the pushing, the doors spread apart, opening them widely.  They expected to see Hell before them.  However, what was there was quite different.

It stood twenty feet tall, and thirty feet long.  It’s fur was black as night, and although it’s main body looked like that of a dog, it had three dog heads coming out of it’s neck.  All six of its eyes were red, and each head let out an angry growl.

“What is that thing?!” Prometheus asked.

“I think it’s Cerberus, the hound of Hell.” Crystal replied.

“What do we do now?” Saturn asked.

The five Sailors looked at one another, then shrugged, agreeing on the same thing without speech.

“GET IT!” Mars screamed, immediately releasing a Flame Sniper from her hand and into one of the eyes.

Only one head was affected by the attack, slightly cowering from the pain it’s eye.  However, the other two heads were still fully ready, and it immediately leapt up and fell down at Sailor Mars, who jumped out of the way as Cerberus came crashing down upon the ground, causing brief tremors that knocked the Sailors off balance for a moment.  The head that had been singed by Mars’ arrow regained its sight once again, and growled at the Sailors.

“CRYSTAL CRUSHER BEAM!!!”

Crystal slapped her hands together, and slowly brought them apart, forming a white energy ball.  She then threw the ball at one of Cerberus’ legs, which crystallized immediately.  The three-headed hellhound yelped in pain as the leg snapped off and shattered on the ground.

“WORLD SHAKING!!!”

Uranus raised her hand up, energy gathering inside of it.  When she opened it again, it had collected into a yellow sphere that looked similar to the planet Uranus.  She then slammed it into the ground, and it immediately raced off and collided into two of Cerberus’ other legs.  They were instantly vaporized, leaving the large dog paralyzed on the ground.  It struggled a little; it’s blood leaking out from the holes that remained from where its legs used to be.

“Yuck.” Prometheus said.

“I- I’m sorry, Sailor Mercury.  My actions in the past were caused by a shard of the entity you know as Chaos.” Davros stated.

Davros was about as tall as Reuisu.  His hair was short, being just above his ears.  It was a deep black hue, with white streaks sometimes being visible when a light shined down at it.  He wore black pants and a black sweatshirt.

“That does make logical sense.  Rei did tell me that you had a piece of Chaos inside of you when she, Reuisu, and Tyrael had investigated you during Kingdom Come.” Mercury replies.

“Yes.  It had happened during my reign over the Omega Centauri Empire.  I was feeling particularly hateful towards Alpha Centauri, because their scientists had discovered a cure for a disease that was ravaging both of our respective Kingdoms.  I was taking a walk and had seen it out of the corner of my eye.  I was going to have the lab investigate its unusual color shade when it suddenly merged with my skin.  That’s what turned me evil.” He explained.

“Um, Ami, could you come here for a second?” Jupiter asked, leading Mercury away from Davros for a moment.

They turned their backs to him.

“Ami, are you sure about this?  Isn’t this the guy who tried to clone us by extracting our heart crystals?  And also was mainly responsible for Kingdom Come?” Jupiter whispered into her ear.

“I know, but there’s something about him now.  I see a frightened child who wants to be accepted again.  We need to give him a chance.” Mercury replies, and turns back to Davros.

“Alright, Davros.  We shall take you back with us.  However, on the first sight of treachery, you will become public enemy #1.  Do you understand?” Mercury asks.

“I understand.” Davros stated, and reached out his hand.

Mercury took hold of his hand, shaking it.

“Now, we must return to-” Tyrael starts.

“STOP!”

The Sailors looked to the skies, and saw several Angels circling them.  One of the Angels stopped and looked down, shouting, “You cannot be allowed to leave!”

“Well, well, well!  We meet again, Sailor Soldiers!”

“Indeed.  I didn’t figure we’d run into any old enemies down here.”

“What, did you think those of us who served Beryl would be ascending to Heaven right now?  And as soon as I dispose of you all, I can join the party up on your precious little planet!”

The Sailors weren’t feeling very good right now.  After they had handled Cerberus, they had swum through the river Styx and experienced nightmares from the river’s hellish power.  After they had finally managed to get through it, they had to deal with the cold that had encompassed hell when it froze over.  And to make matters worse, when they finally arrived through all of the ice and snow to the main chamber where the hellfire was supposed to be it’s strongest, they found it guarded.

By the former General of Queen Beryl known as Malachite.

He stood, grinning at the Sailors, on the top of a flight of stairs at the entrance of the hellfire chamber.

“WORLD SHAKING!!!”

Uranus once again launched her attack out, this time at Malachite.  However, Malachite leapt into the air and Uranus’ attack detonated at the top of the stairs, blowing away a large chunk of them.

“MARS FLAME SNIPER!!!”

Mars aimed a fire arrow at Malachite and shot it out.  The attack pierced into his stomach, knocking him out of balance and sending him back to the ground.  He grumbled in pain for a moment, and then got up.

He was met by Crystal’s fist.

Sailor Angel growled and gritted his teeth as he pulled at the demon’s head, and finally heard a satisfying snap, indicating that he had broken it’s neck.  Angel released the demon and let it fall down to the ground, dead.  He swooped down and fired a Hand of Destiny into two demons that were trying to approach Sailor Life.  The demons were blasted away, screaming in pain from the holy energy.

Angel landed quickly and knocked his staff into the face of another demon, slamming it down to the ground with a concussion.  A winged demon swooped down to try to grab at Life, but it was stopped when a certain tiara flew in and sliced its head off, sending it to the ground in a bloody heap.

“Nice one, Moon face.” Angel says.

“Hey, just try to remember who you’re talking to here.” Moon smiled.

Meanwhile, just down the broken, flaming, and mangled streets, Centauri backhanded Sailor Venus, sending her flying into a pile of rubble.  Sailor Hyperion threw his lance at Centauri, but it merely ricocheted off of his armor and landed on the ground next to him.  Hyperion gulped as Centauri then punched him, the blow sending him twenty feet away.

Centauri jumped into the air and then flew straight at Life.  Fifteen feet away from her, however, he was sent to the ground when Angel’s staff punched his head down.  Centauri got back up again, and Angel tried to swing his staff at him again, but Centauri grabbed it out of his hands and threw it over to Hyperion’s lance.  Life winced and began to run away with the Hellfire sphere, but Centauri grabs her by the shoulder and grabs the sphere, absorbing it back into himself.

“Oh bugger all...” Angel curses.

“Surely even you understand the situation, Guardians!  We must return to Earth and stop the demonic invasion!” Tyrael pleads.

The Angels continued to circle the group, flaming swords in their hands.

“Everything in Purgatory, every soul, is ours to Safeguard until the appropriate time for us to move them on!  It is our divine mission!” one of the Angels shouts.

“‘Appropriate time?!’  I haven’t seen one soul moved to either Heaven OR Hell since I’ve been here!” Davros states.

“All souls here are ours to safeguard!  And now that includes yourself, Tyrael, and the Sailors!” The Angels shout back.

“We don’t have time for this!  We have to get back down to Earth with Davros!” Mimas shouts.

“You don’t have time, but we do!  All the time in the world!”

The Sailors looked around, and saw all of the souls of Purgatory readying themselves for combat as the Angels swooped down to control the Chaos.  The Amazon Trio snapped whips at the Angels, forcing them back.  Prince Diamond and his brother Sapphire deliver crippling punches and kicks towards the Angels.

“Tyrael, get us out of here!” Neptune shouts.

Tyrael nodded and slashed at a piece of air near him with Azurewrath.  It formed in a pocket of yellow light, and Tyrael jumped into it.  The other Sailors followed suit, Davros taking up the last.

“Goodbye, my friends!  You shall not be forgotten!” he shouted back to them.

“Geez, do you smell that?” Mars asks.

“Yes.  It’s brimstone.” Uranus states.

The main Hellfire chamber was a vast demonic cathedral, and the place where the Hellfires were supposed to blaze was a dark pit, with ice on the side from Hell having frozen over.

“Well, I guess we should start this fire up!” Prometheus says.

“Indeed.  MARS FIRE...  IGNITE!!!” Mars shouts.

Mars releases a constant burst of fire down onto the sides of the cavern.

“PROMETHEUS FIRE!!!”

Suddenly, Prometheus caught fire, and he jumped onto the sides of the pit, running around them so quickly that gravity could not bring him to fall down.  He went all the way down to the cold bottom of the pit, and ran back up again, where Mars was still sending fire down into it.

“This isn’t working!” he shouts to her.

“Yes it will, we just have to put a little more effort into it!” Mars replies.

Crystal looked down at the pit.  Prometheus was right: it wasn’t working.  She then looked back to Malachite, who was smiling at the site before him.  Malachite had his hands tied behind his back, and he stood with pride in front of the pit that did not light on fire despite all the flame going into it.  And then, Crystal remembered about what the Hellfires were exactly.

She shuddered, and then gulped.  She formed a small triangular piece of crystal in her hand, with a sharp edge to it.

“Malachite, I apologize that it has to go like this.” She says to him, standing behind him.

“What are you-”

Malachite was interrupted by the fact that Crystal brought the sharp crystal to his neck and slashed it across, slitting his throat, and an outpour of blood came.  The other Sailors gasped at her, and Crystal threw the dying body of Malachite down into the pit.  Immediately, there was an intense outburst of flame.

The Hellfires had reignited.

“Christine, why did you-” Saturn begins.

“The Hellfires were forged from true, raw evil.  Only an act of true evil, like murder, could reignite them.” Crystal states.

All of a sudden, the five were lifted off their feet, and began moving away from the Hellfire chamber by an unseen force.

“What’s going on?!” Uranus exclaims.

“Well, if the Hellfires were supposed to bind the demons to Hell, they must also expel that which doesn’t belong there!” Mars suggests.

Demons roared and growled, hanging onto the beaten up pavement as they began to be pulled back into the Hellmouths they had sprung from.  Sailor Centauri screamed as the Hellfires within his body were ripped from him and sucked back down into the depths of Hell.  And when all of the demons were finally back in the Hellmouths, the five Sailors that had been sent into them came out and landed hard on the road.  They held their heads in pain as the remaining Sailors help them up.

“Mission accomplished, I presume?” Angel asks.

“Quite.” Mars replies.

“Hey, up here!”

The group looked up, seeing a yellow tear in the sky, and seeing the group that had been sent to Purgatory returning.

And Davros was with them.

Angel immediately went ballistic from seeing him.

“DAVROS?!  You brought that madman back to become Sailor Centauri?!  Are you as insane as he is?!” He shouts.

When Davros safely landed on the ground, he replies, “I’m not the same person you knew, Reuisu.  This is my second chance at life!”

Angel narrowed his eyes.

“The people you massacred didn’t get a second chance.” He growls.

“We don’t have time for this, Reuisu!  Davros is the one we’ve chosen!  He’s going to stop Baelrog, and whether you like it or not, become Sailor Centauri!” Neptune shouts at him.

Angel mumbled a few curse words, and then sighed.

“Ami, use your computer to access the armor and initiate sequence Pi-Epsilon-Charlie.  Authorization password: Pi is infinite.  Pi has no end.” Angel says.

Mercury nodded and her computer visor appeared over her face, and she pulled out her palm computer.  She typed in some commands, and suddenly Sailor Centauri was motionless, and glowing a bright white.

“If you’re going to do something, do it now, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Angel says.

Davros nodded and walked over to Centauri.  He placed his hands on the Centauri helmet and closed his eyes, being enveloped by the white light as well.

Perfect.  It all goes perfectly.” Crystal suddenly said, with a voice not her own.

The others turned to her, noticing the change to her voice.  All of a sudden, Crystal grabbed her own neck, and energy flew out of her mouth and onto the ground, forming into a demonic entity: Belial!

I took an oath.

It was an oath to protect and lead my Kingdom from any and all harm that would come to it.  And I broke that promise when I started a war with the Alpha.

And now, I am inside this armor, fighting for my redemption for my crimes.

The area around myself gives off the infinite appearance of outer space.  Stars, nebulae, planets, comets, anything that could be were there!  However, I was not alone in this vastness.

There was something else. It looked like Baelrog, but sections of him had the Centauri armor grafted upon him, like it was just minor clothing.  His face was totally exposed, as were most of his legs and upper arms.  It looked like some sort of parasitic relationship, but who was feeding on whom, I could not tell.

“So, Davros, it is you who they have chosen to be their champion!” Baelrog, my opponent, laughed.

I gritted my teeth.  Baelrog was the entity who had driven me completely insane, turned me demonic shortly after I was defeated in the Clone Wars.

He was another evil creature that used me.

I’m sick of being used.

“I’m going to enjoy watching you die, evil scum!” I shouted at him.

“Pah!  Do you really think this is your redemption?  Your way to make up for the sins you have committed?” Baelrog laughed.

“I wish I could change my past...” I said.

And after I flew into Baelrog and socked him in the face.

“BUT I CAN’T!” I shouted at him.

Belial smiled and ran over to Centauri and Davros, and grabbed onto them, joining the link.  Titans West was about to run at him, but the other stopped them.

“You can’t interrupt the link!  It could kill all of them!” Mercury shouts.

“I’m not seeing the downside.” Angel states.

Moon slapped the back of his head.

Davros struggled and grappled against Baelrog/Centauri, both of them with looks of disdain and hatred on their faces.  However, a sudden flash of light to their side interrupted them.  When they looked over, they saw Belial smiling at them.

“YOU!  I killed you!” Baelrog exclaims.

“You froze my body, yes.  However, the Sailors sent a group into Hell to reignite the fires.  I stowed my spirit away on one of them, gave her the knowledge of how to reignite the fires, and escaped into the mortal plane.  And now, I shall take that which is rightfully mine!” He shouts.

“NO!  It belongs to me!” Baelrog roars.

All of a sudden, the armor began detaching from him!

“WAIT!  NO!  I COMMAND YOU TO STOP!” He pleaded.

No one commands me, Demon.

The voice had been deep and commanding.  Metal bars surrounded the three, restraining them.  The Sailor Centauri armor had formed in front of them, looking ghostly and frightening from not having a form within it.

You all demand me, say I am yours to control or belong to.  I belong to myself! You shall face your day of judgment!  ALL OF YOU!  Why should I choose any of you to be my host?!

“Sailor,” said Baelrog, “we are kindred spirits!  Both of us have been expelled from the people and homes we thought we knew!  We can gain our revenge against those who have wronged us!”

“Sailor,” said Belial, “we serve the same mission.  We both are assigned to punish souls who have done wrong, or have made mistakes.  We punish the evil and the crooked, and we enjoy it!”

Davros gulped.

“Sailor, I was once a King.  I tried to do my best.  I tried to-...  No.  I can’t do this!” he shouted.

He began crying, which got the attention of the armor.

“I’m a murderer...  A monster!  I hurt everyone and everything that I ever cared about...  I don’t deserve power...  I deserve punishment!”

The Centauri armor thought for a moment.

You believe you deserve punishment?  THEN FACE YOUR PENANCE!

And with that, the armor leapt onto Davros, merging with him.

“No...  I don’t deserve this...” He cried.

That is where you are wrong, Davros!  This is exactly what you deserve!

The armor swirled and disappeared off of Baelrog, and then swarmed over Davros.  The three broke the meld with each other, and were shot back a little from the intensity of it all.

“The armor has made a choice!” Mercury exclaims.

Within the armor, Davros opened his eyes.  Technological displays and scanners were inside the helmet, showing him pictures, targeting sensors, physiology, weapons status, energy readings, and other things.  It was taking him a moment to comprehend all of this, but he learned quickly.

“YOU HAVE TAKEN WHAT IS MINE!” Baelrog growls, getting up.

Baelrog leapt at the new Sailor Centauri, but was forced back by a sudden beam of light that shined down from the sky.  The light extended all the way into the far clouds, and one person came out of that light.

Nephlite.

He smiled, his brown hair tied behind him in a ponytail, and his wings retracted behind his back.  He wore a white suit with white pants and white shoes.

“This is indeed a momentous occasion.  I had to be here for myself.” He said.

Belial was beginning to get up.  “Do you really think Heaven shall approve of this joining?!  An evil such as Davros with the defender of Alpha Centauri?!” he shouted.

“I think it will.  As you can see, God has already blessed this joining.  Davros is, and shall now always be, Sailor Alpha Centauri.” He rebutted.

“Well, then I’ll- Wait...  What’s this- NOOO!!!” Belial shouted as he suddenly was engulfed in red light, and disappeared.

“Where did he go?” Angel asks.

“Back to Hell.  His other Princes of darkness wish to have a word with him about undermining their authority just to get his hands on the Centauri armor.” Nephlite explained.

He then turned to Centauri.  “Davros, you have been charged with an incredible gift.  And as your first action as Sailor Centauri, I think you should eliminate a demonic presence from your world.” He said.

Nephlite pointed at Baelrog, who was trying to slowly get away from them.  Centauri looked over and glared at Baelrog.  He looked at the options of attacks from within the armor, and chose the most powerful.  He raised his arms up.

“GIGA DESTROYER!!!”

Panels, compartments, and openings opened up on the armor, revealing guns, missiles, and lasers.  The two giga cannons came out of the back plate and rested on his shoulders.  The missile ports on the arms flipped open and aimed missiles at Baelrog.  Immediately, they all fired, sending a devastating force into the demon, who could not even scream as his body was pulverized and obliterated from the attack.  When it was all over, Centauri rested his arms down, and everything closed again.

Nephlite smiled and stepped back into the beam of light.  “Goodbye, my friends!  Oh, and Davros, just for your information, the souls in Purgatory have earned an appeal.  They are going to Heaven for assisting you.  Use the armor in the name of peace, Davros!”

“I think I’m going to like it here.” Davros states.

“And for attempting to undermine the authority of Hell, it is the judgment of this court that you are to be exiled from Hell, never to return!”

Belial was in chains, brought before a council of demons whose faces were shrouded behind dark cowls.  He was dragged along, screaming and cursing from his punishment, and thrown into a cell.  On the other side of the cell, a yellow demon with thousands of tendrils coming out of his arms sat in tattered rags.

“So, they are going to exile you, eh?  I am being exiled, as well.” He said.

“For what?” Belial asked.

“For attempting to take what is rightfully ours because of an uncaring, unwise deity the mortals call God.  The Prime Evils had the right idea by trying to destroy the Earth, but they did it in the wrong way.  I happen to know a way in which we can succeed.” He smiled.

“Who are you?” Belial asked.

“My name is Osmoudon.  And I believe that we can help one another...”
