The American High School Anime Association

Well~!...this is the part where I say, "I think it would be a good idea not to play 'hit the pedestrian' on your way to or from the anime meetings", and things like that...k?

well...I'm listing them with numbers and everything...ok?

  1. don't play "hit the pedestrian" on your way to or from the anime meetings...k?

  2. if you don't own any anime, and noone in your club owns any anime, then you've got problems.  Try ordering some anime from Kodacha Anime Club (see the anime sources page) or something affordable, and then start a collection

  3. When you order anime, you're ordering it as a branch.  This means that the president does not get to keep all anime ordered.  My suggestion is that you all watch it together the first time (instead of the person who's house it was delivered to does not watch it until the next meeting), and then you see who liked it.  If more than one person wants to keep it, then shoot it out (rocks, paper, scissors), and then everyone else makes copies...k? Sharing is good.

  4. Do not insult any anime.  Well~, insulting Pokemon is acceptable, but if someone in your branch seriously likes Pokemon, don't poke them in the stomach...it's rude.  You should all learn to respect others.  I want this to be a nice, happy group...k?

  5. When you write your reviews, make sure that you all agree.  If one person absolutely hated Fushigi Yuugi, or whatever anime you were watching, then include in your review that one person, (name) did not like it, because (reason).

  6. When you rate the anime, take the average of all the number of stars (between 1 and 5) that each person gives it. (ex. Jason - 1 star, Jessica - 4 stars, Jackie - 4 stars, and James - 3 stars...overall - 3 stars.)

  7. If you guys order an anime, and none of you like it, cuz it sux, and no one wants to keep it in their collection, because it might contaminate the other anime, it's so bad...try e-mailing another branch treasurer, and asking if they would like it.  Don't charge them any money, k? Except MAYBE the shipping costs...but then, if they send you any anime, they will probably want to charge you the shipping...so try and be generous...k?

  8. Before you start your first official "watching" meeting (non-voting meeting), decide if you want a silency policy, or a commentary policy for your branch.  Some people like to pull a little MST 3K on the anime, and some can't stand someone saying "Oh, Miaka, I hate that you won't give any..." during one of the more serious parts of Fushigi Yuugi...so, try and reach a compromise, too.  Like, "don't ruin the serious parts.  Only talk during the fun scenes." ("naked...naked naked naked..." hehehe)

  9. VOTING - (this is less of a suggestion, and more of a rule) when you start your branch, you should have the voting for the four officers right away.  This should be the first meeting.  This, I think, unless you're not allowed, can be held for about a half hour after school, in front or something.  Whoever is the founder of the branch will receive an e-mail from me including the descriptions of each of the officials and a little speech to read to new recruits.  This is to be read to all at the first meeting.  It is up to the sophomores, juniors, and seniors, first of all to vote whether to let freshman vote or not.  However, if the branch is started after May, then freshman automatically are given suffrage (the right to vote).  Then, the people who would like to run for any of these offices, will write their names down, and hold them up or something, so everyone can see.  Freshman are not allowed to run unless after May.  Then, everyone votes.  The founder will count the votes and give the officers their duties.  AFTER THE MEETING!!! EVERYONE MUST VISIT THIS SITE AND REGISTER WITH ME!!! I do not care if they "told Jim that they joined, and Jim's the vice president of the branch"...it must be done.  If someone does not have a computer, then they will ask the treasurer to sign them up...GIVING THEIR NAME, PHONE NUMBER, AND ADDRESS...ok?  This is very confusing, I know, but this is protocol...k?  The first "watching" meeting is planned at the first "voting" meeting.  AND...someone needs to volunteer their house, and someone needs to volunteer food, and SOMEONE NEEDS TO VOLUNTEER ANIME! It is essential that their be anime when you go to watch it...k?

ok...that's it for now...thanx!
