Jack awoke from his nightmare.
He breathed a sigh of relief when he woke to find out it was just a dream.
Here it was, their wedding day, July fifth.
Jack walked in the kitchen, where Oscar and Brian were eating breakfast.
"Hey, Jack. It's already 11:30," Brian said.
"What? I never sleep that late."
Jack wanted to see Rose so bad.
"Are you okay, Jack? After what happened yesterday at the altar, I thought you'd never be able to recover from that," Oscar said.
What? This can't be happening! Rose really did leave me for...for Cal! Jack thought.
"Well...um...I'm going to go back to sleep," Jack said.
While Jack was walking to the couch, he heard Oscar say, "Poor guy. I can't believe Rose did that to him."
Jack's head was spinning. He loved Rose. He thought that she loved him. But all she wanted was money.
Fine! I won't go chase after her. She proved that my love for her was nothing, Jack thought to himself.
