Walking around the ship, drinking in the sun, Jack wondered, "Rose, have you talked to your mother?" He squeezed her hand gently, making her look at him with a smile.
Looking through his eyes weakened her and she tried not to faint. "Yes, I have." She answered, before snuggling up to him.
He wrapped his arms around her as they walked. "Well, what did she say?" he asked, kissing her cheek softly. He was amazed at how much love she had for him. At how much love he had for her. He'd never felt this way about anyone before.
"She said that she wants us to share her room tonight. She'll be staying with Molly Brown. She also told me that she'll be living in Denver, Colorado, with Molly." Rose answered, smiling up at her love.
"I'm so glad your mother changed her mind about me. I really do love you and I'm glad she sees that." He said, thanking God silently.
They smiled at each other and continued walking. "I love you Jack Dawson."
"I love you, too, Rose Dawson-" he stopped himself. She smiled at him "Dawson," she said quietly, lovingly.
Later That Evening
Ruth Dewitt Bukater managed to get a first class cabin. Rose and Jack walked along, silently, enjoying each other's company. They walked into the room.
"Whoa...it's huge!" was Jack's expression. He was amazed that he'd be staying in that room. With Rose. She had to laugh at his child-like actions. She looked at him, her eyes showed the replica of his love toward her but the replica was from her towards him. He leaned his mouth to hers, catching her lips with his. She moaned softly as he reluctantly let go.
After holding each other for about twenty minutes, they decided to go and look for Fabrizio, Tommy, Cora and Mr. Cartmell. Jack saw Tommy he led Rose over to him, "Hey Tommy!" Jack exclaimed, giving Tommy a hug. Tommy was surprised that Jack had survived and he said "Jack! You made it!"
"Hello Miss Rose." Tommy said and they embraced. Rose smiled at him and kissed him on the cheek. He kissed her on her cheek.
"All right, Tommy. Don't try to take her away from me." Jack joked. Rose laughed.
"Honey...I thought you knew about Tommy and I." she played along. Tommy wrapped an arm around her and laughed with them. "Have you seen Fabri?" asked Jack.
"I saw him about an hour ago. With that girl-uh- Helga." Tommy replied, trying to remember Fabri's fancy's name.
"Have you seen Mr. Cartmell and Cora?" Rose asked. She was hoping that they'd survived. They were such sweet people.
"Cora is over there," he pointed to her. "Mr. Cartmell didn't make it."
"Thanks Tommy. We'll be back later." Jack said and they walked over to a crying Cora.
"Cora, what's wrong?" Jack asked sincerely, knowing what was wrong. Where would she live? He was hoping that she had some relatives. But Rose wasn't thinking about Cora's relatives.
"My father he...he died." Cora gasped out. Rose took the child in her arms and let her cry on her shoulder.
"Cora, do you want to live with us? We could adopt you. Unless you have some family you want to live with." Rose suggested, kindly.
Jack looked at Rose in shock. But when he saw her smile, he smiled back. He knew it was the right thing to do. Cora smiled a little. She said, "Really? I can? I...I don't know what to say."
"Say yes...we would love to adopt you." Rose said kindly. Cora nodded. "Thank you." The little girl whispered. Jack picked Cora up and they began walking to the cabin. Jack's free hand was holding Rose's as they walked.
On the way there they ran into Fabrizio and Helga. Fabri was surprised to see Jack. "JACK! You made it! I can't believe it!"
"Hey Fabri!" Jack exclaimed.
"This is Helga." Fabrizio said, introducing her to everyone.
Helga shook Rose's hand softly. "Nice meeting you." She said in a thick Norwegian accent. The women exchanged smiles. "Nice meeting you, too." Rose said.
"We're hungry, all they have is soup. We'll talk later, no?" Fabri asked. "Sure." Jack answered. "Kay, bye." Fabri said and led Helga to the dining room.
"Bye," Jack said.
Jack, Rose and Cora made their way to the cabin, silently. Rose noticed how hungry she was and laid a hand on her grumbling stomach. "You hungry?" asked Jack. Rose nodded. "Are you?" Jack asked Cora. "Mmmhmm." the girl answered with a nod of her head.
"Wow! It's so big!" Cora exclaimed, jumping out of Jack's arms and running into one of the rooms.
"I guess Cora will be our first daughter, huh Rose?" Jack asked with a grin on his face. Rose smiled at her husband-to-be. She sighed contentedly. "Mmmhmm..."
