July 5, 1929
Today was Jack and Rose's eighteenth wedding anniversary.
The twins were seventeen and going to college in a month.
Alex was sixteen, and Cora was twenty-three and married, with a daughter, Danielle Rose Dobson.
Cora married a college schoolmate, Andrew Dobson.
Cora became a well-known physical therapist, and she stayed in New York.
Jack and Rose, though thirty-four and thirty-seven, still acted like the same seventeen and twenty.
Josephine had turned out to be quite a writer.
She loved to paint, also.
Lizzy, much like Jack, loved drawing.
She lived for adventure.
Alex wanted to become a doctor.
Jack and Rose were very proud of their children.
They couldn't believe how much their children had grown.
Though they missed the everyday hello mommy and daddy and bedtime stories, they both knew they couldn't dwell on the past.
They were both thankful to have four wonderful children.
A director from New York came to see a play that Rose was performing in. He asked her to be in one of her movies.
With Jack's encouragement, she succeeded.
Now directors worldwide were lined up around the corner for the talented Rose Dawson.
