The cold night when the great ship, Titanic went down brought sorrow and pain to nearly everyone aboard. It was one of the most tragic events to ever take place in history. Fact and fiction have been included in the tales of the beautiful Titanic. And this one...this one is of love. Love can be said to be of a fictitious nature. It can also be said to be a fact, that people can love. Can be in love. And in this story, neither fact nor fiction can say if this love was indeed fact or fiction...
The survivors of the hopeless ship now awaited the Carpathia to save them. But the ones who were still in the water waited for their absolution. Their absolution may never come. To most of them it was already gone. This night would be in their minds everyday of their lives, however long that may be.
Two people come to mind when we think of this, its none other than Jack and his beloved Rose. These two people share the love that people say is fact and some say is fiction. These two young people hold the strong bond, not too many of us can find. They found it. They found it on a ship destined for an icy, watery grave. But this love would stay strong through thick and through thin. Always and Forever.
Three days before this tragedy, these two people met. One, wanting to end her life. The other, wanting to save her. And he did. In more ways than one. And she loved him for it. They'd never expressed the three words verbally, but physically they had. They did in the cargo hold, inside that tiny car. Rose and Jack both knew they'd never forget that. Never. Rose's mother, Ruth DeWitt Bukater, disliked Jack Dawson when she first met him. But she saw how Rose looked at him, how he looked at Rose and she knew that they were meant for each other.
Caledon Hockley, on the other hand, hated Jack. He, too, saw how they looked at each other and that infuriated him. He saw them kiss. Rose had never kissed him with that much passion, with that much fire. He tried to kill them both, chasing them down the stairs with a gun. Now he knew Rose would never come back to him.
Rose thought it was quite absurd. Jack paid no attention to Caledon Hockley. He despised him even more. Nothing, not even Cal, not even the Titanic's death could stop Jack and Rose from loving each other. Caledon Hockley died on the Titanic; he drowned by shooting himself instead of Jack and could not move so therefore he died. Or so they thought.
