Chapter Four
Two Days Later
Rose sat up in bed. She felt someone rubbing
her cheek. She woke up to see Jack. He had sneaked in that night.
"Jack, what are you doing here?"
Rose asked.
"Just hush and I'll tell you on the
way," he answered.
"On the way?" she asked.
"Shh," he answered. She could sense
panic in Jack and she started packing her bags. "Cal knows where we are and
he wants you and the diamond."
She turned ghost white and fainted. Jack
picked her up and headed out to the cab he had waiting for them. Megan waved
good-bye and stood with Jeff. It would be two hours before they heard anything
from them.
