ANOTHER CHANCE
Chapter Four
She ran about the
streets heedless of where she was going. Heedless of where she was. She didn't
really care where she was. All that mattered was that she was free.
But she was without
Jack. What was all the freedom in the world, if she couldn't share it with him?
Nothing. Nothing at all.
"Who says you
can't share it with me?"
"Jack?"
Rose stammered. It was impossible. He was dead. Yet here he was, same blue
eyes, same blond hair, and the same goofy grin.
"Yes, Rose,
it's me."
"But...how?"
"I know I'm
dead. But you need me. I need you."
"Oh, Jack,
I've missed you."
"Shh. I'll
always be here for you. I may be a ghost, but any time you need me, just call
my name."
"I've also
come to tell you something. Something bad is going to happen, I don't know
what, but something good will come out of it. You'll see."
"All right,
Jack," she said, not really believing him.
"And remember,
just call my name." He kissed her on the ear and disappeared.
