CAL'S LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE
Chapter Two
"Rose, you appear to be fine. We are
keeping you for a few days as a precaution. You are very lucky to have
survived," a doctor told her.
Rose nodded. "How is Cal?"
"Not good. He remains in a deep coma.
There is a strong possibility that he will never come out of it. I am on my way
to check on him right now."
Rose said a silent prayer as the doctor left.

The doctor examined Cal, who appeared to be
sleeping. Other than a bruise on his forehead and a broken leg, he did not
appear to be hurt, but in fact he was in critical condition. The doctor shook
his head sadly as he left Cal's room.
He went into his office and called Cal’s
parents.
"Mrs. Hockley, you and your husband had
better get here as soon as you can. It does not look like your son will make
it."
"I will be there as soon as I can. His
father is away on business."
"Can you reach him?"
"No. He is in the middle of the ocean,
on the Olympic."
"Do you know the cabin number?"
"Yes. It is A2."
"Thank you. Hopefully, your son will
live until you and your husband get here."
*****
"Cal, come with me," a voice told
him.
Cal opened his eyes. "Did I die?"
"No, but look."
Cal looked over to the bed, and was surprised
to see himself laying there. "How can I be here if I am laying over
there?"
"Sorry, but I can't tell you. I have
orders to take you on a little trip, to show you some of the mistakes you have
made in your life. Afterwards, you will have a chance to make it right,"
the voice said, which turned out to be that of his birth mother, who had died
when he was little. She snapped her fingers, and few seconds later they arrived
at their first of several stops.
