Based on some situations originated by James Cameron.

Daddy, if you’re up there in heaven
Can you ask God if I can talk to you?
I’ll understand if you can’t talk.
I’m the proudest son in the world because of you
Mommy says she doesn’t need a picture of you
All she has to do is look at me
And she sees you!
I don’t hide you from people, Daddy.
When they ask where you are,
I tell them the truth.
You are in heaven.
I’m proud of you for that.
You saved Mommy.
Not every daddy would do that.
Mommy used to cry lots and lots.
Then one day she stopped.
She says she has no more tears left to cry.
She must have really loved you, Daddy.
You were very lucky to meet her.
Mommy has told me everything she knows about you.
I trust that she tells me the truth.
Mommy used to break promises before she met you.
She doesn’t anymore.
I’d like to be like you when I’m a grownup.
Be an artist and go to Paris!
Go see the world and never stop discovering!
About that promise
Mommy said that before I came,
And after you died,
She lived for one reason.
She had a promise to keep.
I never cry about you, Daddy.
Not much...
On Father’s Day,
It’s hard, though.
On every Father’s Day,
Instead of making a card and giving you presents,
I do something different.
I send a balloon up to heaven,
With your name on it.
And as I see it float up, up, and far away,
I make a wish.
You have to go now, don’t you?
Before the angels make you go back, though,
Here is the wish I make every Father’s Day.
I know that you will like it.
The wish has never changed and never will.
I wish that just one day,
One day, Mommy, you, and me could spend a whole day together.
Nobody else.
Just us three.
Forever.
See you someday, Daddy.
