DO YOU ONLY WANNA DANCE?
Chapter Eight

Jack waited patiently at the altar. He was sweating and nervous, but he knew this was what he had wanted all of his life. He looked down at his shoes. They were nice and shiny and the suit that he wore was perfect. He looked at himself, thinking about his career as a doctor. Then he heard the music begin and turned around to meet his bride, the lovely Rosa Delgado.

Rosa glowed like she never had before. She walked slowly towards him, meeting him face-to-face.

"Hi," Jack said, and kept staring at her. He couldn't imagine marrying anyone other than her.

She grabbed his hand, and the priest began.

Minutes later, they had become husband and wife. Rosa looked up at the stars, and said, "Thank you."

Jack didn't ask what she had wished for and just let her be. There was a nightclub with good music. It had attracted Jack's curiosity. He got Rosa's hand and started to walk with her to the club.

"It's time to put those dancing lessons to good use, Rosa," Jack said confidently.

"Show me what you got, Dawson." She smiled, holding his hand as they walked to the front entrance of the club.

The music was very inspiring. It held a person in a trance, and with its smooth rhythm, it just made them want to dance.

Rosa looked into the crowd and pulled Jack with her. She put her arms around him. The music was slow. Rosa loved dancing with Jack. It felt so right.

Someone tapped Jack on the shoulder. He turned around to see who it was. It was a man, someone Jack had never met before.

"May I cut in?" Nick asked.

Rosa saw who it was. It was her ex. She hated him more than anything. When they were dating, he used to come to her late at night to try to make out with her. He would take advantage of her, and cheat on her, too.

"No, Nick. Not tonight." She stayed in Jack's arms.

"Come on, Rosa. We used to be so good together." He smiled at her, thinking he could have her back.

"Sorry, I am married now. This is my husband, Jack Dawson." She shined him on and left the dance floor with Jack.

"So, he was your ex?" Jack asked.

"Yeah. Big mistake. Let's leave, Jack. We have some unfinished business." She smiled widely.

"I have a feeling that I ain't gonna wake up tomorrow." He chuckled.

"Well, Jack, I am already in heaven, but I do believe they may be missing an angel." She glanced into his bright blue eyes.

"That makes two, Rosa. ‘Cause so far, you have taught me a valuable lesson." He looked into her green eyes.

"What's that?" Rosa asked.

"Never give up on what you wish for." He smiled and kissed her lips.

Nick saw from afar that he had lost Rosa to some white guy. Whether he was really her husband or not, he intended to find out. He wasn't going to let her go, married or not.

He saw them enter a hotel room together. He saw Jack pick her up and close the door behind him. He went close to their door and heard giggling.

Rosa had never been the type to sleep with a man on their first date, so maybe they were together. Jack had taken Rosa's virginity and not him. That made him angry. He had always tried to get Rosa to put out, and she never would. Not once. So, what made him so special? He had to find out. What secrets did this Jack hold? He had to find out.
