I love the sea
The sea is an endless carpet
That is many miles deep
My days aboard ship I’ll never forget
‘Cause I dream of them when I’m asleep
I was a Titanic survivor
A lucky soul, they say
They say that God did me a favor
But he was cruel and took my lad away
I do not blame the sea
For it is not to be mistaken
For something gentle and carefree
For the sea cannot be awakened
Although I was almost killed
In the infamous Titanic disaster
My purpose has been fulfilled
For I was reborn in the sea.
