There is warmth all around me.
I can feel the wind whipping around my face,
My hair is blowing about.
My eyes are closed, but I see everything.
I see my life is all an act.
I see I am worth much more than they say.
I see that I always have a choice.
I see that I'm loved and treasured.
He whispers to me, "Open your eyes."
The first thing I see is magical, mystifying, beautiful.
The vast, endless sky glows as the evening dies.
Blushing pinks…
Golden yellows…
Vibrant oranges…
Everything is real. I see it all.
He caresses my hands gently, singing softly in my ear.
"Come Josephine in my flying machine.
Going up she goes, up she goes…"
I laugh, remembering the night we sang this together.
He holds me tightly in his arms, not daring to let go.
He holds onto me for dear life, fearing loss.
I gaze into his shocking yet glistening blue eyes.
I close my eyes,
And feel the soft pressure of his lips against mine.
I place my hand on his neck, deepening every moment.
We kiss so passionately,
I never wanted it to end.
He holds me still, as I hold him.
Soon, he and the ship merge into one,
A force holding me, allowing me to fly.
The evening sun falls as the moon and stars appear.
The chilling winds of the night cause my skin to tingle.
Yet he holds me so tightly, so close.
There is warmth all around me.
