HARRY POTTER AND THE SHIP OF DREAMS
Chapter Four
When Harry and Fleur boarded the
Titanic, they were instantly taken aback by its magnificent size and luxury.
When they came aboard, they were
greeted by a well-dressed man with a mustache.
"Good afternoon, sir and
madam. I am Charles Hargrove. I will be your personal steward for your voyage
on the Titanic. While you are gone in the morning, I will fix your sheets and
tidy up. And ma’am, your personal maid, Mary, is waiting in your stateroom. We
hope your voyage on the Titanic is as relaxing as possible. Please be sure to
explore the Titanic as much as possible, but the engine and boiler rooms are
off limits to all passengers unless if you have permission from an
officer."
"Pleasure to meet you,
Charles. Until dinner, stand at ease. I would like you to come get us in our
stateroom when dinner is served, please," Harry said.
"Right away, sir. Oh, here
is a map of the ship, compliments of the White Star Line, and a letter for you
from Mr. Malfoy and Mr. Fudge."
"Thank you," Harry
said, handing him a coin.
Charles gave a slight bow and
left.
"Shall we go to our
stateroom, Fleur?" Harry asked.
"Yes, but I want to explore
the ship. I have the strangest feeling of dread that…" Fleur replied.
"What?" Harry asked,
intrigued.
"Nothing. Never mind. Let’s
go," Fleur said.
Harry and Fleur followed the map
and signs along the halls until they came to the Grand Staircase, where a small
string orchestra was playing Mozart.
"Oh, Harry. It’s
beautiful!" Fleur exclaimed.
"Yes, it is," Harry
said in awe.
The Grand Staircase had
gold-coated handrails, solid mahogany framework, an angel at the front of the
staircase holding a torch, and at the top was a beautiful clock that read Honor
and Glory Crowning Time.
They walked up the staircase and
made a left at a sign that read B-Deck Staterooms.
"Ah-ha. B-50," Harry
said.
They opened the door to find the
most elegant rooms Harry and Fleur had ever seen. Whole walls were lined with
gold and solid varnished oak. There was a queen-sized bed with privacy
curtains. The bathroom was beautiful also. It contained a beautiful porcelain
bathtub with golden knobs and a water closet with golden stripes lining it.
Harry later called the Titanic a floating palace.
There came a knock on the door.
"Come in!" Fleur called.
In came a skinny but very
friendly woman wearing a white apron and hat.
"Hello. I’m Mary, and I’ll
be Mrs. Potter’s personal maid," the shy woman said.
"Hello, Mary. Come back when
dinner is called so you can help me into my corset," Fleur replied.
"Yes, ma’am," Mary
said, bowing and taking her leave.
Harry went to the hat rack and
hung up his top hat.
Fleur ran over to the bed and
collapsed.
"Oh, Harry, we are in the
lap of luxury," Fleur said.
Harry sat on the bed and said,
"Yes, we are. We…" A loud whistle sounded. "Oh," Harry
said. "We must be casting off, and I still haven’t seen Hermione or
Ron!"
"They’ll probably board at
Cherbourg," Fleur said, pulling Harry down.
Harry looked at her.
"France?"
"Yes. The ship makes stops
at Cherbourg tonight and at Queenstown, Ireland tomorrow."
"Oh," Harry said,
pecking Fleur on the lips.
Fleur pulled him into a deep
kiss. Harry began moving his hand under her dress.
Fleur pulled away. "No. Wait
until after dinner. I have a surprise for you."
Harry smiled. "You can’t
keep secrets from me, Fleur," he said, beginning to kiss her neck.
"Oh, Harry…stop! Wait until
after dinner!" Fleur replied, annoyed.
Harry stopped. "How much
longer?" he whined.
"Eight hours," she
replied, waiting for him to burst.
"What? I have to wait eight
hours to make love to my own wife?" Harry teased.
"Shh!" Fleur scolded.
"I want to get some sun on the deck in one of the deck chairs."
"All right, but we have to
rent one," Harry told her.
"Where?"
"The purser’s office,"
Harry replied.
"Well, go rent us two and
meet me outside on our promenade deck," Fleur said.
"All right," Harry
said, getting up and putting his hat on.
