Rose Dawson stared up at the Statue of Liberty as the Carpathia entered New York. She wished so much that Jack Dawson could be there with her. It was all she wished. That it had been Cal who had died instead of Jack. But, of course, as they say, the good always go young. Cal was selfish, greedy, and abusive. Jack was caring, giving, and loving. He protected everyone he cared about and loved. Even though Jack had never said he had loved Rose, she knew that he did. She had seen it in his eyes. His gorgeous, aquamarine eyes that Rose knew she would never see again. The way his blond hair fell in front of his eyes when he concentrated, and how he would hold and kiss her. Jack was the exact opposite of what Cal was.

"I love you, Jack. I'll never let go," said Rose to the Statue of Liberty.

On the other side of the ship, Margaret Brown, or The Unsinkable Molly Brown, wandered around, looking for Rose. She had always had a liking for Rose. She was much like herself at that age. Molly wished dearly that both Rose and Jack had survived. Because, she knew, that if one of them didn't make it, the other would be completely and utterly miserable. When Molly made it into third class, where she knew both Jack and Rose would be, she began to look around. She saw a figure sitting with a blanket around her head. She was shaking and gazing up at the Statue of Liberty.

"I love you, Jack. I'll never let go," she said. Molly felt her stomach drop. It was Rose. And, from the sound in her voice, Jack hadn't made it.

"Rose, honey?" asked Molly, kneeling down in front of the girl.

"Molly!" said Rose. She hugged the older woman and then looked her in the eye.

"He didn't make it, did he?" asked Molly gently.

Rose just looked at her, tears beginning to run down her face.

"Oh, sweetie, come here. I'm so sorry," said Molly, pulling Rose into a hug. Rose just sobbed into Molly's shoulder. "It'll be all right, sweetie. We'll get through this together," soothed Molly.

"Please...please don't tell my mother or Cal that I'm here. Please!" begged Rose.

"It'll be our secret," said Molly. "Well, I've got to get back before Cal and Ruth do suspect something. But here's what my phone number is going to be. When we disembark, meet me at the end of the pier," said Molly.

"All right. Thank you, Molly," said Rose as Molly walked away.

Molly smiled sadly at the young girl who was going through such a horrible time right now.

She was walking back to first class when she passed the infirmary. She was so preoccupied by her thoughts that she didn't notice she had bumped into somebody.

"I'm sorry, ma’am. Excuse me. I'm not really myself. Not paying attention," said the young man.

Molly's head snapped up at the sound of the voice.

"Jack!" cried Molly, pulling the young man into a bear hug.

"Molly! I never thought I'd see you again," said Jack, hugging her back. "Do you know where Rose is? She made a promise to me that she'd live through this, but when I came back up, she was gone," said Jack sadly.

Molly had a plan beginning to form in her head.

"I'm sorry, sweetheart. I haven't seen her," Molly lied. If she knew they were both alive, why not have a little fun playing matchmaker?

"Oh…well…um…I need to…uh…get back to third class," said Jack, leaving Molly. He tried to hide his tears, but he couldn't. He had lost the love of his life, and it hurt that she had gone back on her promise.

"No, Jack! Wait!" said Molly as a tear-stained Jack turned around. "Here. I'm going to have a party to celebrate both of us getting off all right. Meet me at this address tomorrow night," said Molly.

"Okay, Molly. I owe you for everything you did for me on the Titanic. I'll be there," said Jack.

Molly waited at the end of the pier for Rose to get there.

"Hello, Molly," said Rose, coming up to Molly.

"Hey, there, darlin'. Let's go. You can stay with me. Tomorrow night I'm having a party to celebrate everyone who made it out alive. You'll be there, won't you?" asked Molly.

Rose smiled slightly.

"Of course I will," said Rose.

"Good. Now, let's get through these reporters," said Molly. She linked her arm with Rose's and they made their way to their new home.

Molly's party was already in full swing when Jack got there. He saw a lot of people he recognized from his dinner in first class with Rose.

Rose, he thought, his heart aching to hold her and tell her he loved her.

"Why, hello there, Jack!" said Molly, opening the door for him.

"Hi, Molly," said Jack, stepping into the hotel ballroom.

"The band is playing songs, and we're having people announce and dedicate them. So, the next one is in about five minutes," said Molly.

Jack walked around and saw a blonde woman walking around.

"Helga?" asked Jack. The blonde woman turned around, and sure enough, it was Helga!

"Jack? Fabri...you dead?" asked Helga, hugging Jack.

"Fabri's here?" asked Jack.

"Fabrizio!" said Helga as an Italian man walked by. "Jack!" said Helga, pointing at him.

"Jack?" asked Fabrizio.

"Fabri?" Jack asked.

"Jack!" shouted Fabrizio. He hugged his friend. "Jack, I thought you were dead!"

"I thought I was, too! Have you seen Rose?" asked Jack.

"No. I'm sorry, Jack," said Fabrizio sadly.

Jack just looked down. Fabrizio saw a tear fall from his friend’s face.

"Don't worry, Jack. She's in heaven," said Fabrizio, trying to comfort him.

"Now, since the party is almost over," Molly said from the stage, "it's time we remember those who weren't as lucky as us. We have a very special young lady who is going to talk to us and introduce the next song."

Jack just looked at the floor, knowing that Rose was one who hadn't been so lucky.

"Hello, everyone," said the girl. "I'm here to talk to you about those fifteen hundred lost. This is very hard on me because I lost someone in the horrible tragedy. Fifteen hundred lost, seven hundred saved, six saved from the water. There were only enough lifeboats for half, maybe less. Twenty boats for twenty-two hundred people, and they were sent off only half full. One boat had twelve people, but was built for seventy men. It's ridiculous how some men, such as Bruce Ismay, are so arrogant and selfish that they got into a lifeboat and took a seat that could have saved a life of a mother and child, or a teenage girl. I saw a teenage girl get thrown off the Titanic. I watched in horror as the whole scene folded out in front of me. Horrible. Absolutely horrible. But the worst part was losing the one I loved to the ends of the earth. This next song is called My Heart Will Go On. I'll never let go, Jack. I'll never let go," the girl said.

When she said this, Jack's head snapped up. When he saw who was onstage, he cried. He began to bawl. Fabrizio and Helga looked at him.

Jack immediately left his friends and ran from the very back of the room onto the stage.

"Rose..." breathed Jack.

"Jack!" cried Rose, hugging him for dear life.

"Oh, my God, Rose! I love you so damned much. I thought I'd lost you," Jack said, crying with Rose.

"I told you I'd never let go," said Rose.

"But no one had seen you. I assumed the worst," said Jack, tears running from his eyes.

"No one told me you were here. Jack, I assumed you'd died when I let go of your hand," said Rose.

"Oh, Rose. I was unconscious. I was woken up by the freezing waters. When I came back up, you were gone. I feared that you were dead," said Jack.

"Jack!" cried Rose, burying her tear-stained face in the crook of his neck and sobbing with happy tears.

"I love you, Rose," Jack said.

"I love you, too, Jack," said Rose, their lips meeting in a love and passion-filled kiss.

The End.
