HEARTS ARE BROKEN, LIVES ARE SHATTERED
Chapter Thirteen
Rose woke up and looked down at the end of
the bed at Loops. She hadn't been acting right the past few days and Rose was
getting worried.
"Jack, we need to take her to the
vet," Rose said, and Jack agreed.
At the vet's office, Rose and Jack found out
that Loops was having puppies.
When they got home, they found Felicity there,
talking to Clarissa.
"Hey, you two," Rose said, looking
at the identical twins.
"Hey, Mom," they said.
"So, what could you two have been
doing?" Jack asked them.
"Talking about everything,"
Felicity said.
"What are we going to do with
them?" Rose asked.
"So, what's wrong with Loops?"
Clarissa asked, patting the dog on the head.
"Puppies," Jack said.
"Really?" Felicity asked in shock.
"Yes, really," Rose said.
Suddenly, Lance came down and saw the two
girls talking. He couldn't tell them apart.
"Hey, which of you is Clarissa?" he
asked.
Clarissa laughed. "I am."
"Oh," he said.
"So, how is everybody doing this fine
afternoon?" Zoë asked, walking downstairs from her bedroom.
"Loops is having puppies," Felicity
said.
"What?" Zoë asked in disbelief.
"Really," Jack said, hugging Rose. She
was now seven months along.
Rose looked at Jack and then felt a shot of
pain go through her. "Jack, it's happening."
Jack looked at Rose. "I know."
"No. I am having the baby," Rose
said in pain.
