JACK AND ROSE: TOGETHER FOREVER
Chapter Thirteen
"Is this good Mrs. and Mr. Dawson?"
The waiter asked showing them a table overlooking the Santa Monica beach and
pier.
"This is wonderful." Jack told him
and pulled out Roses' chair for her.
"Alright, I will be back in a few
minutes to take your order. Here are your menus."
"Thank you." Jack told him sitting
down.
"Jack this the most beautiful view I
have ever seen." Rose said smiling across the table.
"I am glad you like it honey." Jack
told her smiling back.
"So what are you going to have?" He
asked her.
"I don't know." Rose told him
opening her menu. She looked at it for a few minutes before putting it down and
telling Jack.
"I think I will have the turkey dinner.
Is that alright?" Rose asked.
"Oh Rose of course it is." Jack
told her.
"Did you see anything you think I would
like." He asked. Rose just shrugged.
"What do you fell like having?"
"How about some steak? Did they have any
of that?" Jack asked.
"Yep, but Jack that is kind of expansive
and so is my meal. Are you sure you want to spent this much money?" Rose
asked him.
"Rose, this is a celebration. I don't
care how much money things are. And I would spend millions of dollars on you,
honey." Rose smiled at him once again.
"Can I take your order now?" The
waiter asked showing up.
"Ah yes. Rose here will have a turkey
meal. And I think I will have a steak plate." Jack asked him.
"Very good sir. Would you like potato's
or corn with your turkey?" The waiter asked Rose.
"Ah, are the potato's mashed?" Rose
asked.
"Yes."
"I will have that then." Rose told
him.
"Alright. Would you like anything to
drink?"
"How about some of your best wine."
Jack answered.
"Alright. I will be back in a few
minutes with your food." The waiter said taking their menus and walking
away.
"Jack this is a beautiful
restaurant." Rose said finally looking around. It was a big open room with
big bay windows overlooking the ocean. There was also fireplaces on ether end
of the room.
"I know. I saw this place when I was
passing by a few years ago. I liked it, but I couldn't afford it." Jack
told her.
"Now I decided to bring my beautiful
wonderful wife along."
"Oh Jack. This has been the most
wonderful, unbelievable three weeks of my life. And you are the one who has
made all this happened. Without you, I would be probably be dead. Or I would be
a week away from walking down the isle to hell. Thank you Jack. You saved me
and I love you for that." Rose told him, holding his hand across the
table. Jack felt tears come to his eyes as he heard Rose tell him these things.
The sat staring into each other's eyes for a few minutes until the waiter
appeared with their food and wine. He set down their food and drink on the
table and that left. Rose and Jack dug in, eating their fill of great food and
wine. Rose was just finishing when she heard some music pick up in the room.
She picked up her head and looked around, people were dancing in the middle of
the room to the sound of Irish music. Rose looked at Jack, who was smiling. She
smiled back at him as Jack got up and took her hand.
"So Mrs. Dawson, how about a dance or
five?" Jack asked holding her hand.
"Why Mr. Dawson, do you even have to
ask." Rose replied standing up and following Jack out onto the dance
floor. When they got out there, Jack held Rose close and led her around the
floor like he had done on Titanic. Rose squealed and laughed in delight and
soon every one had formed a circle clapping to the music with Rose and Jack
dancing around in the middle. Jack suddenly got an idea and started spinning
Rose around, picking up speed as he went.
"No Jack No! Ah! Slow down!" Rose
yelled as Jack spun her around. But Jack didn't listen and spun her faster.
Rose shut her eyes and was remembered of the night on Titanic when they had
done this. She was aware of clapping and music and Jack, but the rest of the
world seamed to disappear. And than as soon fast as the song had started, it
ended. Jack stopped spinning Rose and she fell into his arms. Everyone that had
formed a circle started laughing. Jack pretend to almost droop her and everyone
laughed again. Jack led Rose over to the table and sat her down.
"Are you OK?" Jack asked her.
"Ya, just a little dizzy." Rose
said putting her hand on her forehead.
"Do you want some water?" Jack
asked. Rose shook her head no.
"Anything?"
"No Jack I am fine. I am felling better
already."
"OK good because I have a few more
surprises for you tonight." Jack told her with a twinkle in his eye. Rose
looked at him, what else could he possibly have up his sleeve.
"Do you want to leave now Rose?"
Jack asked.
"Ya, I want to find out what you have up
your sleeve." Rose answered him.
"Oh I bet you do." Jack told her as
he picked up the bag that contained Roses' dresses. Jack and Rose walked up to
where they were to pay the bill and paid it.
"Come on Rose." Jack said picking
up their bag with one hand and taking Rose's hand in his own, and together they
left the restaurant.
