JACK AND ROSE: TOGETHER FOREVER
Chapter Sixteen

Later That Night

"Rose, Rose honey I am home!" Jack called as he walked into his apartment. "Rose!" Jack called again. There was still no answer. 'Where could she be.' Jack thought worriedly. Jack decided to search the whole apartment. After going through the apartment and not finding Rose, Jack got really worried. Had she not made it home, was she laying un-aware of anything somewhere? These things raced through Jack's head as he re-searched the apartment. Coming out into the living room, he saw the balcony door cracked open. 'Is she out there?' He thought to himself and walked over to the door. Opening it some more, he saw Rose asleep in one of the little chairs. Jack smiled, only Rose would sit outside in the middle of winter with rain no less. Going over to her he gently kissed her on the forehead. Rose stirred, "Mmm." Rose mumbled her eyes still closed, making Jack laugh.

"Hay sleepy head. How long have you been out here?" Jack asked as soon as she opened her eyes.

"What time is it?" Rose asked a little groggily.

"Its about three-thirty."

"Than I have been out here about an hour." Rose responded.

"Well you scared me honey. I didn't know where you were." Jack told Rose.

"I am sorry dear, I came out here just to sit and think and I guess I fell asleep." Jack smiled.

"You got a letter form Bryan today dear." Rose told him as he helped her up out of the chair.

"Oh really, where is it?" Jack asked enthusiastic about it.

"Its over on the table." Rose told him as they walked inside. Picking it up and sitting on the couch, Jack opened it. It read:

Jack,

Hello, how are you and Rose? Over here everything is fine, but Dianna has been acting weird. She like never jokes or even talks much anymore. And you know that's not normal for her. I told her she should write a letter to Rose, but her eyes got filled with tears and she said she would later. But she never did. This was last mouth too. I just don't know. I think she misses Rose a lot even thought she and Brittany are together all the time. I don't understand her now.

Well how is life over in good old Santa Monica? Does it feel like Christmas yet? Over here it does, the decorations are all up and the city looks wonderful. I certainly love Christmas, but with Dianna like this I don't know how it's going to go this year. I was thinking I could surprise her by bringing her out to see Rose over the Christmas vacation. And maybe Brittany too. If she wants too. Write back and tell me if that fits your plans.

Well I have to go, talk to you soon.

Miss you,
Bryan Foster

When Jack finished reading the letter, he looked around to see where Rose was. Seeing that she was in the kitchen he yelled, "Hay Rose, come here I need to talk to you for a minute!"

"Hold on dear, I need to out something away first!" Rose yelled back. When she emerged a few minutes later Rose sat down by Jack and asked.

"OK what is it?"

"Well," Jack told her turning toward her, "Well, Bryan sent me a letter right. And he said that Dianna has been acting wired and he thinks its because she misses you a lot."

"Ya, Brit mentioned something about that." Rose told him.

"So anyway I was wondering if they could come over after Christmas for a week or so. Just for fun, and maybe bring Brittany too." Jack asked her. Rose was enthusiastic about it.

"Oh Jack, Yes, yes, yes!" Rose yelled. "I mean do you even have to ask! Of course they can come out." Rose told him calming down a little. "So when exactly can they come?" Rose asked.

"How about the 28th till about the 5th. That way they can help bring into the New Year with us." Jack answered her pulling Rose into his lap and embracing her.

"That sounds good." Rose answered laying her head on his shoulder.

Jack smiled and said. "I'll write Bryan a letter later tonight and than sent it tomorrow." Rose nodded and snuggled up closer to Jack.

"Jack I've been thinking, well when are we going to get a Christmas tree to out up. I always loved those and well." Jack nodded and answered her.

"How about on the 11th that's a Saturday and that way we can put it up that night. Rose?"

"Hmmm." Rose responded.

"Let's get two special ornaments to hang up. One for our first Christmas and one for us maybe with our names or something like that. Do you know what I mean?"

"Yes, and I think it's a good idea." Rose said closing her eyes and leaning against Jack. "I am so tired." Rose whispered into the crock of his shoulder.

"I know honey, but it's Friday and we can sleep in tomorrow." Jack told Rose rubbing her back a little.

"Ya." Rose answered her voice muffled.

"Rose I am going to go and write that letter now. Why don't you go take another little nap, honey? I'll make dinner for you and wake you up when it's done. Does that sound good?"

"Oh would you Jack?" Rose asked pulling her head up.

"Ya, now go and lay down." Jack said pushing Rose off his lap.

"Alright Jack." Rose mumbled and crossed the room to their bedroom. Closing the door she laid down on top of the light blue comforter. Closing her eyes she was soon fast asleep.
