LOVE IS MORE THAN A FEELING
Chapter Eighteen
Jack was carrying the big suitcases, and Rose
the lighter ones. The afternoon sky was lovely. There wasn't a cloud in the
sky. It felt great to be outside.
"So, where to now?" Rose asked as
she looked up at Jack.
"Well, first we need to get a carriage
to take us to the house."
"Jack, I was so excited this morning
when you told me you had bought a house."
"Rose, you're gonna love it. My Uncle
Jim was the one who found it for us. I can't wait until you meet him."
Rose smiled at the excitement in Jack's eyes.
She was also happy about meeting all of these people who obviously had a big
influence on Jack.
When a carriage picked them up, Jack told
them where to go.
"Oh, yeah," Jack said as he got
something out of his pocket. It was a little cloth. "Rose, I'm gonna have
to do this," Jack said as he used it for a blindfold.
"Jack, why..."
"I want you to be surprised about the
house."
Rose smiled. "All right."
Finally, the carriage stopped. Jack helped
Rose get off and he put all of the luggage on the ground. Jack paid the driver,
and he left.
"All right, Rose. I'm gonna take it off,
but you gotta keep your eyes closed."
"All right."
"All right. Open your eyes," Jack
said.
Rose gasped as she saw a medium-sized, light
blue house. It had a big porch with a swing, a lot of windows, and a balcony on
the upstairs.
Rose turned to face Jack. She practically
jumped into his arms.
"Oh, Jack, it's perfect!"
"I though you'd like it."
Rose gave Jack a kiss. "I love it!"
