MY HEART WILL GO ON
Chapter Twelve

It was the day that Jack and Rose were going to get married. They got their appropriate wedding outfits, the wedding rings, and Rose was able to get to know everyone. It was around eight o' clock when Rose got out of bed. Rose spent the night at Hannah's, and Rachel came over. Rose decided to have them both in the wedding. Rose entered the kitchen looking very tired, and she sat down on a kitchen chair, leaning her arm on the table with her eyes half-opened.

"Rose, are you all right?" Hannah asked, handing her some oatmeal.

"Oh, I'm just so tired. I'm so excited about the wedding that I didn't get a wink of sleep," Rose said, yawning.

"Oh, now that's what I call true love," Rachel said, sitting down next to Rose.

"Well, maybe my grandmother's famous oatmeal, coffee, and toast will wake you up," Hannah said, and placed some coffee and toast beside the oatmeal where Rose was sitting.

"Thanks," Rose said, chuckling, and took a sip of coffee, and then picked up the spoon to start eating. Rose noticed that Rachel was looking at the clock.

"What time is it, Rachel?" Rose asked.

"You have plenty of time, about two hours left," Rachel replied.

Rose sighed, and ate the rest of her breakfast. It was not long until Rose wanted to go to the church to get a head start. They got all their things, and started to walk to the church, which wasn't that far away. Hannah and Rachel helped Rose put on her dress, put her makeup on, and do her hair.

"Does Kevin like anyone?" Hannah asked, helping Rose with her hair.

"Why?" Rose asked.

"I just wondered," Hannah replied.

"Well, I don't think he does, but don't take my word for it," Rose said, putting her earrings on.

"How about Teddy?" Rachel asked.

"What has gotten into you two? Are you falling head over heels over Teddy and Kevin?" Rose asked.

"Maybe," Rachel and Hannah said in unison.

Rose laughed, and said, "Well, just remember to act like yourselves and you will do fine."

Jack, Teddy, and Kevin were getting their tuxedos on.

"Do you think that Hannah likes anyone?" Kevin asked, fixing his tie in the mirror.

"Why?" Jack asked, putting on his cufflinks.

"I just wondered," Kevin replied.

"Well, I'm pretty sure that she likes Maker's son. She is always babbling to Rose about him," Jack said.

Jack and Teddy could see his heart sink.

"Well, what about Rachel?" Teddy asked.

"I think that she likes the same boy also," Jack replied.

Teddy's heart sank also.

"Oh, come now, don't take my word for it. You need to ask Rose about it. Speaking of Rose, we need to go to the church," Jack said, looking at his pocket watch.

They started walking to the church, and met Jeanette and Harry, the old couple who owned the local general store.

"Jack, good luck," Henry said, and shook his hand.

"Thank you, Mr. Forliffa," Jack said.

Henry nodded his head, and they continued up the church stairs.

Rose heard a knock on the door, and Rachel answered it.

"I'm sorry to disturb you, but I just want to say good luck to Rosie," Jeanette said, and went over to hug Rose.

"Oh, thank you, Mrs. Forliffa," Rose said, hugging her.

The priest came in, and said, "It is time."

Rose smiled at Hannah and Rachel. "Well, here we go," Rose said, and hugged Rachel and Hannah.

As Rose got in her place in front of the door, Donald came in, and hugged her, and whispered, "Good luck."

Rose smiled, and whispered back, "Thanks, Donald."

Rose heard the music play, and she started to walk down the aisle, with Hannah and Rachel in lavender dresses. Jack smiled as his beautiful bride came closer to him. There were only a few people for their wedding, but that didn't bother Jack and Rose one bit. The only thing that mattered to them was that they were getting married. Rose approached the altar, and Jack interlocked arms with Rose, to take her up where the priest was.

After the ceremony, Jack and Rose said their good-byes to their friends to go on their honeymoon.

"You will love this beach. It is quiet, peaceful, and our hotel has a great view of the beach as well," Jack said, when they were on the train.

"That sounds wonderful," Rose said, leaning against Jack's arm, and yawning.

"Rose, are you all right?" Jack asked, looking down at Rose.

"Oh, Jack, I was so excited about the wedding, my eyes couldn't shut," Rose said, and yawned.

Jack laughed, and said, "I had the same problem last night." He yawned.

Rose laughed, and Jack laughed, too, and asked, "How about we take a nap until we get there?"

Rose nodded her head, and said, "That sounds all right."

And Rose fell asleep against Jack.
