Chapter Fifteen
Jack opened his eyes, and saw red curly hair
in front of him. Jack looked over to see if Rose was awake, but she wasn't. Her
ivory skin toned eyelids closed her beautiful hazel-blue eyes. Rose had an
expression on her face that looked peaceful. Jack petted her hair, and smiled
at his newlywed wife.
"Oh, Rosie, what would I do without you?
What would you do without me? Would you keep your promise? Or would you jump
off a bridge as soon as you could find one?"
Rose woke up to these words spoken by Jack.
She kept her eyes closed to see what else he has to say.
"What would I do? Well, that would be
the hardest day in my life, losing you. So, I can't, and I won't, answer that.
Do you know why? Because we're together. We'll be together forever. Yeah, were
going to have kids, lots of them, too! As many as we can have. If that's what
you want to do. And then, we'll watch them grow. We'll watch them graduate,
find true love, get married, and have kids of their own," Jack said.
Rose could hear Jack sniffle, and she had to
shed some tears at what Jack had to say. Rose turned around and looked at Jack.
Jack looked surprised, and she smiled at him.
"Did you--" Jack asked.
"Every word," Rose said, and
smiled.
