CAL’S REVENGE
Chapter Nine
Jack walked up to the police
sergeant's desk. "I am here to see Caledon Hockley and his father."
The sergeant stood up.
"Follow me. You have five minutes."
"That will be enough
time," Jack replied.
"I have to get back to my
desk," the sergeant said.
Jack waited until the sergeant
was out of earshot. "I will see that both of you never see the outside
world again. You two need to pay for what you have done."
"Oh, is that so?" Cal
asked with a smirk.
"Yes, and I will see to it
that you two do."
"Too bad, Dawson, but we are
going to walk."
"Not if I can help it."

"Mother, is there anything I
can get you before I leave?" Rose asked.
"No."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I am sure."
"Okay. I will be back in the
morning."
*****
Jack walked into the house.
"I'm back."
Molly came from the kitchen.
"I put on a roast for you and Rose."
"Thanks," Jack replied.
"No problem. Jake is asleep
in his crib."
"Thanks again," Jack
called after her as she was leaving.

Cal turned to his father.
"What is your plan for getting us out of here?"
A police officer walked by.
Nathan waited until he was gone.
"I have no plan yet."
"What? You said you had a
plan."
"I will, soon."
"You’d better, or I will
find my own way to escape from here," Cal replied angrily. Cal had no idea
that his plan would cost him and his father their lives.
