RUTH'S REDEMPTION
Chapter Three
"How are you feeling?" Jack asked,
walking into Rose's room.
"Better."
"What do you have to tell me?" Jack
asked, pulling a chair close to Rose's bed.
"Jack, I am six weeks pregnant."
"Cal is the father?"
"Yes," Rose replied, with tears in
her eyes.
"Don't worry, Rose. I am willing to be
her or his adopted father."
"Thank you," a grateful Rose
replied.
"You are welcome, Rose."
"Visiting hours are over," a doctor
said, as he passed by her room.
"I will be back tomorrow. Is there
anything you want me to bring?"
"Yes. One of your great grilled cheese
sandwiches."
"Anything else?"
"No."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Okay. I will be back early
tomorrow," Jack said, as he was leaving.

"Ruth, get dressed."
"Why?"
"Because we are going for a ride into
New York City."
"Why are we going there?"
"Because I just found out that Rose
might have survived the Titanic sinking."
Trying not to get her hopes up, Ruth got
dressed.
