THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HEAVEN
Chapter Three
When they got there, Rose asked Jack which
bed he wanted to sleep in. He said, "Any one will do just fine." He
picked Cal's bed; Rose went in her room and closed the door. She started to
undress, and put on her nightdress, the one she thought Jack would have bought
her. On the label it said "Beloved Rose," so it must have been him
who brought her it. She thought about Jack. She had missed him for a long time,
and didn't want to waste one second without him. So she opened her door.
"Jack, are you asleep? Jack?" she
said.
He responded, "No, Rose I'm awake."
She started to explain how she felt, and finally asked if he would come to bed
with her.
He said, "Okay." Jack had had his
shirt off, still wearing his pants. He had wondered why Rose had opened the
door. He had been thinking about her, and he was damned if he remembered
anything. He followed Rose. He asked which side she wanted. She said it didn't
matter, so he took the left side.
Rose slipped into her side. Jack had undone
his zipper and was taking off his pants. Rose heard and didn't say a word. He
said, "I hope you don't mind if I sleep in my undergarments."
She said, "No. I don't mind, Jack."
It was Jack who asked if she was all right. She said, "Yeah, Jack."
They started to talk. The lights were off. Jack told her how he had waited for
her on the stairs. He just had a feeling she would be there. She looked into
what she thought was Jack's eyes. She asked Jack to touch her.
He kissed her with a sweetness she would
never forget. She remembered his hands as he touched her body. She wanted to
have all of him tonight. Rose's passion was over the charts.
Jack had heard her say "I love you,
Jack" over and over as he kissed her. Jack lifted her nightdress over her
head to see all of her, as he remembered touching the firm peaks of her
breasts. She was so well put together he called her his goddess.
When he joined his body with hers, he asked
if she was all right. She said yes. He kept them at a slow pace. Rose, on the
other hand, wanted him to go faster. He complied.
His breath was more ragged than hers was. He
possessed her as she reached the heights of her climax. Jack had breathed so
hard she thought he might need a doctor. He said, "No. I'll be all right.
Just give me a moment."
Rose laid his head on her chest as she kissed
his head. Suddenly, Rose felt so tired.
She fell asleep in Jack's arms. When she
awoke, Jack wasn't in the bed. She heard noises. She thought, 'Oh, great. It
was just a dream,' and thought she had to face Cal--that hideous man--but no,
it was Jack. He had ordered room service. He picked what he knew she liked.
Everything was so perfect. But how did Jack know what she liked? She didn't ask
him that question; she just ate the food on the platter she had served herself.
The food was so good it was as if she had been starving, but for what she did
not know. It had been the second day on the ship, and already she felt like she
was in Heaven, being pampered by Jack. She knew he would do anything for her.
