TITANIC
TRADE
Written by Primrose
Based on some situations originated by James Cameron.
I wish to tell your tales, my friend
amplify your dying call
the moment my eyes met you
I began to fall.
The light sea breeze of dawn blows
through your sandy hair,
and brings back haunting memories
of us together there.
I lean against the railing
with white gloves held in my hand
as you sit nearby and draw words
describing the coming land.
Quickly, we learn what love is
after being swept from our paradise
with thousands around, we're on our own
battling with the deadly ice.
Children, lost in a place without mothers,
the others, locked away in a flood
and now I see how it goes on
the heart of the ocean
pumps our blood.
We are torn apart amidst the screams
of passengers clinging to breath
held from freedom without a key
to eventually accept their death.
The water has gotten frigid
and a light begins to shine
how can I move towards it
with so many already in line?
I lift my head, ice on my tresses
and stare into the endless hole
even with ignited stars
dark remains my soul.
I try to pity the others suffering
whose voices are muffled in mud
and now I see how it goes on
the heart of the ocean
pumps our blood.
So tell me a tale, my friend
tell only truths, no lies
because in fact you live on
in me, your spirit forever resides.
