Amefuri: I'm getting tired…>YAWN<
Toroki: Me, too. Can we go back to the tavern?
Kokie: You guys are SO lazy…hehe…sorry…it needed to be said by someone…no, we have to stay.
Tatara: >YAWN< But why? It's gotta be about 3 in the morning!
Subaru: Yeah. We have to stay awake and alert. We have to stay here and wait for them all to leave the stupid Throne Room…
Amefuri: But that could take hours! *suddenly, sits up* What?
Toroki: What?
Kokie: What?
Amefuri: Something's happening…hold on…*concentrates*
Kokie: What?
Amefuri: They're all getting up…and walking out of the room, except two…the strongest chi, and another are staying. Three are going that way…One's going that way…and one is coming this w- - …DUCK! *they all jump into the bush again, while Tasuki and Kerry go by again*
Kokie: That was close…
Amefuri: That was her! Check to see which room is hers, Subaru…
Subaru: *freezes time for about ten seconds, to look out of the bush and see Kerry going in the third door, then leans back just in time for time to un-freeze* Third door down.
Toroki: What are we waiting for?
Amefuri: *concentrates* Damn.
Tatara: What?
Amefuri: Another one is in there with her…
*The Palace, Konan Country, Kerry's room*
Kerry: Thank you, Tasuki. I don't think that I would feel very safe all by myself all night.
Tasuki: Sure. Try and go to sleep.
Kerry: *goes behind screen to change into her nightgown* Ok. But what about you? Aren't you going to sleep? You must be tired.
Tasuki: *blushes because Kerry is changing* No. I'm not tired. I'm going to just stay awake.
Kerry: *comes out from behind the screen in her nightgown* Are you sure? You've been up since about 8 in the morning. That's nineteen hours! You can't stay up that long! You have to go to sleep!
Tasuki: *making up excuses* I can't. There's no bed for me.
Kerry: *figuring him out* Well, you sleep on the bed, and I'll sleep over there on the mats. They're very comfortable. Come on!
Tasuki: No, I can't. I'll sleep if it makes you happy, but I'll sleep on the mats…you sleep on the bed.
Kerry: Fine. But get some sleep.
*The Palace, Konan Country, the Courtyard*
Amefuri: Well, they're asleep. Both of them. Do you guys want to do this now?
Kokie: Better now than later, right?
Toroki: Let's review the game plan here…
Subaru: We run over to the door, then creep in very quietly…
Tatara: I gag her mouth…
Toroki: I pick her up…
Kokie: I stand guard against the other person…
Amefuri: And then I transport us directly to Pokaku…ok? (Note: You know how there was Taitsu-kun for Suzaku and that other guy for Seiryuu, well…there's got to be one for Byakko, we just don't know the name or anything…so I named her Pokaku, who is Taitsu-kun's sister)
Kokie: Ok, let's go…
*they run across to the third door, and then creep in very quietly…Kokie stands between Tasuki and Kerry, then gives a thumb up…Tatara puts her hand over Kerry's mouth, Toroki picks her up, and then she wakes up and screams, but it's muted by Tatara's hand, so she bites it*
Tatara: Owwie!
*Tasuki wakes up when Tatara screams, and realizes what's going on, and pulls out his tessen*
Tasuki: LEKKA SHINEN! *Kokie gets toasted*
Kokie: Owwie. Let's go! *he shoots a beam of electricity at Tasuki, who gets shocked*
Kerry: Tasuki! Help me!
Amefuri: Ok, hop in the kasa! *Subaru jumps through the kasa, followed by Kokie*
*Hotohori and Chichiri run into the room to see Amefuri, Tatara, Toroki, Kerry, and Tasuki yelling their heads off*
Chichiri: *concentrates*
*Tatara, Toroki, and Kerry go sprawling*
Tasuki: LEKKA SHINEN!
Toroki: *getting out his net* TARAKEI NASHU! *Tasuki's fire is put out by Toroki's water* *Toroki picks up Kerry and jumps through the kasa, Tatara gets up to jump into the kasa, but Hotohori grabs her. Amefuri doesn't notice and jumps into the kasa*
Kerry: TASUKI!!!
Tatara: SUBARU!!!
Tasuki: Oh no…
*Pokaku's Palace, Sairo Country*
Toroki: Poor Tatara…
Amefuri: I'm really sorry about that, guys.
Subaru: *looking at Kerry* How much longer do you think she'll be out?
Amefuri: I don't know. Toroki, it was really stupid of you to drop her on her head when you landed here.
Toroki: Don't you get it? It was an ACCIDENT!
Kokie: Shut up, you two! I hate siblings.
Toroki: She started it!
Amefuri: I did not! You did!
Kokie: SHUT UP! I don't care who started it…just finish it now! I hate siblings. Let's try and concentrate on getting Tatara back…
Pokaku: Will all of you shut up and get back to your training?
Amefuri: *concentrates*
Subaru: I'm done!
Pokaku: You did all one million time freezes?
Subaru: Yeah…didn't you notice?
Pokaku: I never notice when you do them…hence the idea of time freezing. Ok, you can go take a break now.
Subaru: Thanks.
*with a groan, Kerry wakes up*
Kerry: Mom? Mom? I had the weirdest dream…it was so nice, and then these mean people kidnapped me…*opens her eyes* AHHHHHH!
Toroki: Hi!
Amefuri: Oh, she's awake!
Toroki: Real observant!
Amefuri: Shut up!
Kokie: *walks over to Kerry and tries to calm her down* It's okay. We're not going to hurt you. We want to be your friends.
Kerry: No you don't! You're all evil! You want me to become Byakko no Miko so that I can hurt my friends and then die!
Kokie: *confused* What? No…
Pokaku: Hello, Kerry.
Kerry: *seeing Pokaku's ugliness* AHHHHHH! What is that!?
Pokaku: Hey!
Kokie: Don't mind the ugly bag…she's really nice, even if she is old and scary looking! *Pokaku hits him* Owwie.
Kerry: You mean…you don't want to do all those things to me?
Kokie: No, of course not. You can become Byakko no Miko if you want to. Then you get to make any three wishes that you want!
Kerry: Really? What do you guys get out of it?
Kokie: Well, we WOULD like one thing…
Kerry: What?
Kokie: We want you to make one of the wishes to be…
Kerry: No! I can't believe this! They were right! I can't believe this!
Kokie: Fine. We just thought that wishing for an end to the hunger and thirst in Sairo was a noble wish…
Kerry: What?
Kokie: That was the wish we wanted you to make for us.
Kerry: Really?
Kokie: Yes.
Kerry: You…I don't…I don't get it…
Kokie: Well, you see, when I realized that this mark on my arm that says "stomach" wasn't just a typo, and that I was a Byakko no Seishi, I went to talk to the Emperor of Sairo. For all the former mikos, the miko appeared, and then she had to find all seven seishi herself…that wasted time. Since people are dying, we don't have that luxury. So, he and I lead a search for the other seishi…and we have found all of them except Tokaki and Karasuki…but Tatara is back in Konan because they caught her when we came to get you…
Kerry: Ok…this is really weird. So who are all of you?
Kokie: We're your guardians. We're your seishi. We exist because of you. My name is Kokie.
Toroki: Hi, I'm Toroki.
Amefuri: I'm Amefuri.
Subaru: And I'm Subaru. What's your name?
Kerry: Kerry. Kerry Gibbons. So what happens now?
Amefuri: After you rest up a little, we'll go get Tatara and then we'll go searching for Tokaki and Karasuki.
Kerry: Okay. But I don't have any clothes. They're all back at the Palace.
Amefuri: I bought a coat, a dress, and some shoes at the market. *very sad* I guess you could have them. But, I'm just warning you…you probably won't need the coat. Sairo is warm.
Kerry: How warm is warm?
Kokie: About forty-one degrees.
Kerry: Fahrenheit or Celsius?
Kokie: Celsius.
Kerry: Uh-oh.
