ok...i think that Suzaku and his seishi are the hottest things (other than Van, of course)...and i want to share their wonderfulness with you...now...from here, you can get to Suzaku No Miko's section, Tamahome's section, Nuriko's section, Hotohori's section, Chichiri's section, and Tasuki's section.  Note...there are no individual sections about Chiriko and Mitsukake at the moment...because they just aren't >ahem< important enough to have their own sections.  i might make them their own sections soon...if i feel like it...but i doubt i will in the near future.  So...onto Suzaku...

ok...so now that we've covered that...here comes the piccies and the info...ENJOY!

Tamahome (Taka...teehee) is the first seishi that Miaka meets when she arrives in Konan (which greatly resembles ancient China)...he has the character of an ogre on his head.  He is 18 years old and has (i think...i'll check soon) 6 little brothers and sisters and a father.  He STRIVES for money more than anything else, until he falls in love with Miaka.  It's kinda funny, cuz Yui met Tamahome before Miaka did.  He came to save the two of them, but it all worked out kinda funny-like.  Sooner or later, you'll see that not only does EVERYONE fall in love with Miaka, but ALSO everyone falls in love with Tamahome...(Miaka, Nuriko >giggle<, and Yui)...

Hotohori is the second seishi that Miaka meets along the way.  He is the same age as Tamahome...which is 18.  His character means star and it's on his neck.  For some unknown reason, he's extremely girlie...it's strange.  Everyone thinks he's female, even though he's the EMPORER of Konan.  He's REALLY nice though, and falls in love with Miaka.  However, Nuriko is also in love with him, making everything very diffucult.  He talks about how he would've killed Tamahome for taking Miaka and making her cry and stuff if he weren't a seishi and they didn't need him for the Suzaku calling ceremony, but even when they don't REALLY, SERIOUSLLY need Tamahome anymore, he doesn't kill him...(isn't he sooo nice?).  From Taitsu-kun, he gets the Deity Sword.  It repells evil...or something.  Truth is, Miaka and Tamahome use it more often than he does.

Nuriko is the third seishi that Miaka meets.  Nuriko is 20 years old.  Nuriko's character is willow, and it's on her collar bone.  She (?), trying DESPIRATELY not to give away any spoilers, is super strong...that is her seishi power...you can't exactly define Tamahome and Hotohori's special Suzaku powers, but everyone else, you can.  She kisses (i think) all of the seishi, and Miaka in the series.  She gets these really pretty bracelets from Taitsu-kun that thurn into arm supports...and they help her be even stronger than she already is.  I love Nuriko.

Chichiri is the fourth seishi that Miaka meets.  His character is well, and it's on his knee.  He's the oldest of the seven Suzaku seishi and is 24 years old.  In the beginning, he seems EXTREMELY strange, but that's only because of the way that the designers drew the first few times that they meet.  Because there is no background.  I don't quite get it myself.  He wears a mask for a reason that i cannot disclose to you at this time, but it's a happy, smiley face, with "slit eyes" as Tamahome calls them.  He is a monk (i think buddhist?) and he uses magic as his Seishi power...and he has toys to help him.  His rice hat...which you can disappear into and out of, his cloak, which does the same thing, only usually for more people, and it also does some sort of a magical sheild sort of thing in the second OVA, his staff, i'm not exactly sure what that does, but he can concentrate chi through it, and his bead-necklace thingi...that is something i think that he uses to concentrate with, and i think it also raises his power, or maybe his chi.  From Taitsu-kun, he gets a shinier bead-necklace thingi...it makes him more powerful.

Tasuki is the fifth seishi that Miaka meets.  His character is wing, and it's on his left forearm.  It's really funny how they meet, when you look back at it...he kidnaps her.  He does this cool thing in the beginning, but doesn't anymore, where if you write something on a piece of paper, and say a short incantation, it appears.  But his real seishi power is fire.  He has this neat-o fan that throws flame, and he says "Lekka Shien!" and everything (usually including Tamahome) goes up in smoke.  His fan gets bigger and silverish when Taitsu-kun gives him a gift.  He doesn't get along with Tamahome (Monster-chan!) very well, and i suspected from the start that he had a thing for Miaka.  But...he says that he hates girls.

Mitsukake is the sixth seishi that Miaka meets.  His character is rare cart, and it's on his right hand.  His power, which is passive, which is why he isn't a pivotal character is healing.  When Tasuki falls off of a bridge or something, Mitsukake will help.  When Miaka is dying because his ex-girlfriend has become part of the liveing dead and has started to take over Miaka's body, Mitsukake will help.  He's pretty cool, but he's kinda a loser.  He didn't even fight in the war!  What's with that!?  He has a cat named Tama...which is slightly confusing to some people because Tamahome is called Tama sometimes, and Tama is always called Tama, and then there's a Seiryuu Seishi named Tomo, and he pretends to be this guy named Taka, and then...even more confusing, in the 2nd OVA, Tamahome is called Taka.  Go figure.  From Taitsu-kun, he gets a little pot of dust that restores people back to their original state...it even repairs clothes...i wish that they sold that kinda stuff...

Chiriko is the last Suzaku seishi that Miaka meets.  He is 13 years old.  His character is stretching, or stretched net, and is located on his right foot.  His power...it took me a long time to figure this one out...is smartness.  Since he's so young, and since his power is also passive, he isn't a MAJOR character either, although he's more important than Mitsukake.  He is not the seventh seishi that Miaka meets, though, because she meets another person, Amiboshi, just before Chiriko.  Because Chiriko was late, the Suzaku calling ceremony got a little (or a lot...depending how you look at it) messed up.  From Taitsu-kun, he gets a scroll.  This doesn't seem very useful or important, until the last episode.  So keep an eye out in episode 52!

Miaka, in case you are VERY stupid, and have not read anything that i have written thus far, is not a seishi.  She is Suzaku No Miko, and other than that, "just an ordinary junior high student, who is on the road for testing to get into a good high school".  She is 15 years old.  She is the main character of Fushigi Yuugi.  She is in love with Tamahome, and i think that the instant that she realizes that she is in love with him is when he saves her from being killed by the Emporer's guards.  She isn't very bright, and she LOVES to eat!  From Taitsu-kun, her powers inside of her that are dormant are awakened.  Although, i'm not exactly sure what those powers are.  She arrived in Konan when she read the first page of "The Four Gods, Sky and Earth", and she gets sucked into it with her best friend, Yui.  Her brother is also an important character, as is her brother's friend.  Yui, though is EXTREMELY important.  But Miaka takes the award for having the highest number of rape attempts on themselves ever.

Suzaku, is not a seishi either.  He's the guardian of Konan Country, in the South.  He is a god, and is the one that signifies love. Suzaku is a phoenix.  Miaka is the Suzaku No Miko, which means priestess of Suzaku and that basically means that she can call Suzaku when she gets all the Suzaku seishi (constellations) together and recites an ancient chant from "The Four Gods, Sky and Earth", and burns that document.  If it is not possible to get all of those conditions, she has to get the two shinzahos that are basically relics from the other times that one of the gods were called.  Suzaku, we find out later, must compete with Seiryuu, another god.  Suzaku has a helper, named Taitsu-kun, who is an old hag (OWWWW!) who has special powers.  She's really weird and has these little helper girls named nyan-nyans.  Really, you don't find out what you call them until the end of the series, so i used to call them the bubble girls, which i think is fitting.
